davieG Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 I was going to pin a scorecard up on the fencing so that anyone who's nearby can fill it in. A bit risky but it's not as if anyone's going to forget they've beaten someone We could just make the Captains responsible for it.

DB11 Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Players shall only represent the team in which they have been selected to play.Roll on /off subs when ball is out of play. No head height rule. If passed back the keeper must not handle the ball. Only goalkeepers are allowed in the goal area. Throw-ins for balls going out of play. No added time e.g. for ball going out of play, lost balls, injuries, substitutions. The rest of the game rules are as per 11 a side rules. Can you confirm that there are no offsides? It doesn't say it, however it does say that the rest of the rules are as per 11 a side Are all kicks direct? What's the sanction, if any, if an attacker or a defender enters the goal area?
Finnegan Posted 31 May 2009 Author Posted 31 May 2009 Penalty if a defender enters a goal area, presumably free kick if an attacker does. There are no offsides.
DB11 Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Penalty if a defender enters a goal area, presumably free kick if an attacker does. There are no offsides. Free kick or give possession to the goalkeeper to distribute how he likes? And is it if a player intentionally enters the goal area, if they intefere with play by entering the goal area or even if it's an accident "tough you went inside" ? Can the keeper kick it or does he have to roll / throw it? If he has to use his hands and he drop kicks it, what happens? Obviously they can put it on floor and then kick it too.

You're the ref I guess there's no off-side and I presume free-kicks but you'd need to get one of the regular players to confirm as I said in a previous thread I've not played for 10 years or more.
Finnegan Posted 31 May 2009 Author Posted 31 May 2009 I personally think it's harsh awarding a penalty if a defender drifts into the area, doesn't interfere goes "oops" and didn't realise. I conceded one such penalty last year and was a bit pissed off about it. You're the ref, at the end of the day, apply common sense.
Maybes Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 No offsides. If a defender enters his own area and gains an advantage by doing so then a penalty should be awarded. If an attacker enters the opposing penalty area the ball is given to the goalkeeper.
Uncle Albert Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Whats the deal with corners? You put the ball on the corner spot and play it to your team mate?
Bert Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 I play 6-a-side down Pastures. Obviously I'm not saying that these should be some of the rules we play by, but I thought I'd post them up anyway. If an attacker goes into the area, unless he directly affects the play (which would result in goalkeepers ball), play just continues. If the defender goes into the area and directly affects the play (accidental or not) then a penalty is given, if the player goes into the area but doesn't directly affect play, then play continues. No Offsides. Goalkeepers must throw the ball out, under shoulder height. Throw ins and corners can be kicked in. If a player passes the ball back to the keeper, then the keeper cannot directly pass it back to that player. Substitutes must sub on and off at the goal that they are defending. Any free-kicks are in-direct.
AmericanScott Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 You put the ball on the corner spot and play it to your team mate? No shit. What i was wondering was how would one take it when you're not allowed in the penalty area. I know the answer will be obvious and i'm just too stupid to realise.
Finnegan Posted 31 May 2009 Author Posted 31 May 2009 Yeah I agree with all of that. The only thing I don't want to see is an over-head-height rule. I don't think anyone's going to be playing horrific degrees of hoofball so it's not needed in my opinion and takes out any little flicks or chips that might add to the game.

You just cant go in the area so you just play it to a team mate.....
AmericanScott Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Re the corner debate. You just cant go in the area so you just play it to a team mate..... OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH i gets it now :redneck: I had this image in my head that you just blast the ball from the corner to the goal and hope for the best. Should stop drinking beer for a while, i don't know where my brain cells are going.

Tevez Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Is this Banter? I'm tempted to go straight through American Scott.
Finnegan Posted 1 June 2009 Author Posted 1 June 2009 Is this Banter? I'm tempted to go straight through American Scott. You should. He was telling me Silbey Aths were the worst team he'd ever seen and that Leicester City Ladies U10s could beat you.

AmericanScott Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Is this Banter? I'm tempted to go straight through American Scott. Why do i have the feeling that i wont make it to the pub in one piece after the tournament? Naturally, I nutted him on your behalf. That explains the brain cells dissapearing then.
