Alexikokopops Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 And no clocks or windows either.I think it's Blackjack that in the long run is the only game worth playing as the odds are actually balanced as opposed to tipped in the house's favour (i.e. the 0 on the roulette table, etc). It is still stacked in the dealer's favour. There was this website that did the rounds at Uni which had a system that was something like 50.5% 49.5% in favour of the dealer. Used it to play the hands required to pick up the various bonuses. I made about at least £500 on blackjack bonuses in my third year.

And they have to stick on 17, so in a way you have an advantage (although that advantage might not be translated into a quantifiable statistical edge)...
Alan Johnson Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Woah 3 BMW's? You flash boy. You don’t win Mr Croydon driving a Vauxhall. A.Johnson
Uncle Albert Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 You don’t win Mr Croydon driving a Vauxhall. A.Johnson Yeah true, Croyden being the shithole it is you could probably of won it in a '98 Corsa.

And they have to stick on 17, so in a way you have an advantage (although that advantage might not be translated into a quantifiable statistical edge)... I just answered my own question: The house has an advantage in blackjack simply because the player has to draw first and if he busts, the player automatically losses regardless if the dealer subsequently busts in the same round. This is the casino's solitary advantage in blackjack and if everything were equal, the house edge in blackjack would be about 8 percent. The dealer and player each have a 28 percent probability of busting (therefore 28 multiplied by 28) or about 8 percent of the time both hands would bust and the dealer would win.

maddog Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 Not been casino but played online poker a bit. Wouldn't mind doing a poker tourney there though, at least you get something for your money even if you lose. But roulette is just tedious and easy to lose on quickly. Im contemplating betting on Leicester to win again tonight but they failed me at Sheff U
