Alexikokopops Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 How old are the kids, lou!!! If you want beach, sun and theme parks then Salou might be a good chioce!! It's relatively chepa to get to and stay, and eating out isn't too expensive!!! If anyone goes to Salou then try and find a bar called The Garage. It's at the end of the mysterious Street Of Lights that you can only find when you're drunk. The barman is a half-Spanish, half-Mancunian guy called Ivan and he's a hero

There were a lot of Russians there when we went too, even some of the signs in the street are in Russian.
SmoothGary Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 France is a good call. Chavs generally don't go in for baguettes and red wine.
CosbehFox Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 We only went to Playa d'en Bossa once; we walked from Ibiza Town. It was bloody hot, even by my standards!! We didn't go to the waterpark though. We went cos extended family were staying there. Interestingly three weeks later on TV, the very hotel gets shown up as a drug haven with the nearby Space club. Beach is cracking at Playa Bossa. Windy tho!

We went into a beachside bar, and whilst sitting there, a Scandinavian girl, with a body I would kill for, walked in off the beach wearing nothing but a thong. Every bloke in there stopped what he was doing and picked their jaws from the floor, and rolled their tongues back into their mouths. To this day, Sir Fynwy swears he never saw her. She walked out with two drinks. I have no idea where her money was.
JoeyB Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 Turkey - alot of elder people have been going there last 2-3 weeks, (but thats because its outside school holidays)and you can get duty free cheap, and its about 4/5 hours away on a plane, but you get great weather most of the time. Tip - do not fly with onurair - couple of reasons which are bad. Canary Islands - Duty free islands so quite cheap, which ever island you choose its nice, but alot of people wanting to party hit Tenerife. Lanzarote is nice and so is Las Palmas has some great beaches. Malta - Different, full of oldies tho, but should get good weather and is quite cheap. Spain - pending where you go, you will get quiet area's and busy chavy area's. Portugal - Lovely place, would love to go back. Last tip, go through EMA, pm me 2-3 days before you go, and if im working, will see what freebies i can get ya, edit as you can see, the further i got the less i wrote, its not because there worse its for the pure fact of i couldn't be arsed to write much more.
AoWW Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 I went to Olu Deniz in Turkey a few years ago - very nice and seemed to have escaped the chav-brigade. Hisaronu is a resort-type village a few miles inland from Olu and is maybe a bit cheaper. It's still pleasant and has regular, cheap and easy bus rides down to the coast. Nice, friendly place in my opinion, with a range of things to do but relatively low-key. Do save up and go paragliding if you go (and if it's something you're even remotely curious to try) - Olu Deniz is renowned for it and it's fantastic fun.
Webbo Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 We're flying from EMA in October. What kinda freebies are we talking?

I was looking at holiday photos today. Thank god, I am not a fattie anymore. Some of the pictures are revolting.
