Will someone as blonde as me be able to figure out what I'm doing with it?

Is it as good as we all are bragging about?

Yes its alright 'init.

Just one thing though, is there any version of Movie Maker out where you can make DVD menu's?

Heard you could do this with Vista but I didn't have that.

Just downloaded Movie Maker 2.6 but, still no menu's, anyone know anything else?

Yes.

By the way, those widget things are immense.

Many of my programmes and the ones I use the most are not compatible.

Posted
Even using the compatibility mode?

I don't know I just ran the compatibility test and it said not compatible.

You tried the Program Compatibility troubleshooter?

No - I haven't got it installed I was checking what problems i might have and the compatibility result put me off the idea of getting it.

Apologies - slight hi-jack here.

Anyone got a Windows XP Home, install disc?

Long story, but I need to re-install on lappy. Don't need the license/auth/install code (have that) just the software. I know you can call Microsoft and request one but I don't wish to spend hours on the bloody 'phone!

Thanks

Can i introduce you to the wonderful world of torrents?

Download an ISO file of XP and mount it to a DVD :P

Either that or download an XP recovery disc from the internet and mount it to disc using something like PowerISO

Just bought Windows 7 Professional for £30.

I love being a student cunt.

Even better being a Computer Science student, we get Windows 7 Professional for free :D (well, you need to pay for the blank DVD to burn the image to, so like 60p or something I guess). I think, in theory, every student would be able to if their department sorted out the MSDNAA (basically free stuff from Microsoft for students), it's just only CS depts that seem to bother.

Have been running windows 7 at home for a week now, pretty happy with it (keeping in mind I am a geek level 2 only). Not a huge difference to Vista, except that it seems a little faster and simpler to navigate.

The split screen and aero functions are pretty handy, but all in all nothing to get really excited about.. in fact to refer to another topic, its a little like Vista with a G spot. Im really pleased ive found it.. but if i am to be honest... Im not really sure that i have.

Had Windows 7 for a bit now and to be honest I prefer XP.

Apart from the slight improvements such as the task bar, jump list etc, Windows 7 confuzes me abit.

Tip for Windows 7...

Lets users access all of the operating system's control panels from within a single folder.

To enter "GodMode," one need only create a new folder on your desktop and then rename the folder to the following:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Ive done it. It works and its great.
