What are you listening to?

What if by A J Mclean.

I downloaded his album because I thought it was the brother of the (ex?)peterborough striker who released a decent single last year.

It's actually alright though even if it wasn't what I thought it was.

I don't remember an awful lot about it other than I do remember liking it a lot on first listen.

has he got a few singles out or just the one do you know?

3 or 4 singles I think, which makes it stranger that he never dropped the album. Also featured on a song on Chase & Status's first album, but he called himself Digga back then.

Oh right I'll have to look into that.

The Casino Brawl - Luke Pickett

This is so weird but I think I've seen him live. His name instantly rings a bell, think he supported one of my favourite bands at the Birmingham Barfly a few years back.

Is he a youngish lad who does solo acoustic stuff?

Yep most of his songs sound/actually are acoustic. Mellow music and his voice is just perfect.

I've mentioned him on here a few times in this thread and another thread.

I also love Blood Money by him also. I'd love to see him live.

Ahh right must be him then.

In all honesty I think when I saw him I took little interest in him because the band I was there to see was rock and at the time I wouldn't have been bothered about his acoustic stuff, I'd be more appreciative now but hey what can you do.

Does he tour much or have you just not had the opportunity to see him? He is Engliish isn't he?

Not sure how often he tours but I know he's been up and down the UK. Yep he is English. He's from Hertfordshire. I got listening to him a few years ago cos my best mate's mate was best friends with Luke. She mentioned him to me and even though I liked him a lot on first hearing him, he's grown on me ever since.

I used to listen to them so much more than I do now. The above song, Shake Shake, Oh Yeah and I Want To Hear What You've Got To Say all used to get some pretty good playing time. I'll see what their new album is like though, definitely.
