He is a mardy arse, I remember getting his autograph once and it would have been a miracle for him to break into a smile.

My little cousin who was about 9 or 10 at the time asked Mardy Legend for his autograph and whilst trying to scribble all over his programme as footballers do he put a big black line right across his white trousers. He gave my cousin a right evil stare as if it was my cousins fault he couldn't hold a pen.

I'll back that statement too! Ive seen him a couple of times... once at Wembley when we played Middlesboro. He was walking round the ground before the game and we said hello and he looked at us like we were something hed stepped in.

Again at Blackburn before the FA cup 1/4 final game we saw him outside, some kids tried to get his autograph and he wouldnt even stop walking for a second to sign them.

PS someone I know was in a footy tournament the weekend before last in Southport where a certain, high profile Ex-England/Everton player who is supposed to be a recovering alcoholic, was giving the prizes and said he was definately smelling of alcohol and unsteady on his feet.

I thought it was Tom who had trials at Forest, but must have been Serge - He wore his City socks under the Forest socks apparently (Again I thought that was Tom, but obviously was Serge)

But there's a Nottingham connection, lead guitarist Serge Pizzorno used to play for Forest. However, he used to wear his blue Leicester City socks underneath his required red ones...

Yeah I remember waiting for Gary's signature when he arrived for the last game at Filbert Street (v Tottenham) and he was pretty mardy and didn't look to happy then, mind you I could sympathize with him, There a huge crowd round him and his car, everyone pushing to get his signature, e.t.c, then to top it off he had one of them Toyota Land Cruiser's with a ladder up the back of it and these kids were climbing up it and on top of his car, so tbh he had reason to be mardy and not too happy on that occasion - Never got his signature though

im impressed he's made 8 home and 5 away games this season, thats more than a lot of 'fans' i know! would be interesting to see which away games he was at!

On Soccer AM 2 weeks ago he said Oldham and Northampton, Not sure about the others but he definitely said Oldham and Northampton were 2 of them.

I went to chelsea away in the cup the year went down. Couldn't get tickets for city end so we ended up going corperate at chelsea (free beer on tap). There were a few Leicester in there, anyway Lineker walked in after Chopper Harris who was doing the after dinner speach. What a big headed twat. There was about 12 city fans in there and we started to chant his name, he just walked past didn't even say hello, let alone have a chat or give us an autograph. Hes a celeb now forgotten his Leicester market roots.

A friend of mine bumped into him at Wembley once and tried to talk to him and he was really snotty with him as well.

I've never met anyone who's met him or used to know him ever say a good word about him.

A mate of mine used to work at Hollywood Bowl and he told me about a time Lineker game in with some people to play, anyway the staff were told to form a cordon around him and his group so nobody could disturb him, anyway after he'd finished a load of little ones came upto him as he was leaving and asked for his signature, these kids were being urged on by their parents who were looking on proudly....either way Lineker just said, quite loudly and firmly "No", he didn't even look down at the kids he was talking too!! a right miserable ****er!! :@

Now Gary Mcallister on the other hand....what a hero!!!

I sat next to him at MK Dons. 2 to go!

Wow, what an eye opener. Didn't realise Linekar was a mardy twat, you wouldn't think that from what you see on the telly.

So I think weve established Lineker doesn't like to be harrased.

On the other hand his brother who owns Lineker bar is suppose to be a top bloke.
