ACF Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 Yeah I'm going get cheap tixs at the games at the g so will definetly go. Can't believe your fav player is the windo licka, poor form Mad. Whats wrong with Winderlich. I couldn't find a decent picture of Lovett or Davey, or Houli. Unlucky today we were. 18.6 and still lose. Ah well.
Jonezy Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 One of the worst game I've ever seen quality-wise, but both sides were equally to blame for that. Luck was on our side again there. I'm sorry it wasn't on yours. Blame Henke Larsson, Zlatan and Thomas Sørensen for that Blame Mikael Nilsson as well, lovely suicidal clearance for the Danish goal. Denmark must be the most lucky crap side ever, I'm loving it. Thomas Sørensen has become a great goalkeeper again after MON took away all his confidence, when he was at Villa. On a side note, if Mike Riley is a top ref in the Prem, I fear the ref standard we had in L1 will not improve even if we are in the Championship or the Prem. What a frickin tit of a ref he is, giving away non-existant pens and being completely inconsistent with the yellow card and foul giving.

At least we were excused half our squad out with injuries. Besides, we've not had much rub of the green the past couple of qualifying campaigns, and it's rather ironic that we're getting the results now with the most disjointed football we've played in a while! Riley had a shocking first-half admittedly, but he did ok in the 2nd. How Zlatan got away with a telling off for that barge into Agger and Rommedahl got a yellow for a slightly mistimed tackle is beyond me though.
David Guiza Posted 8 June 2009 Posted 8 June 2009 Does'nt really fit into this but i did'nt want to start a new thread. Is anybody watching the U21s? Joe Lewis just came on upfront .
CosbehFox Posted 8 June 2009 Posted 8 June 2009 I know this is not a qualifier but Italy's (B side) have really impressed me tonight against N.Ireland, who have many missing due to injury.Santon on his full debut has been a joy to watch and Foggia has just come off the bench and is impressing, some of the football these youngsters are playing is quality. If you get a chance to see the three goals then do... All top notch finishes. I though Norn Iron did very well when you consider some of the lads are near part-timers. Foggia was a beauty. On a different note, Gabon and Burkina Faso are looking very good as surprise packages in the African quali. Cameroon, Morocco and Nigeria in some trouble.. Me and my bro noticed that fairly early on. Hope they go through now....all comes back to see them play in Special World Cup at various grounds in Leicester when we were younger.
Leicester Rule! Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 On a different note, Gabon and Burkina Faso are looking very good as surprise packages in the African quali. Cameroon, Morocco and Nigeria in some trouble.. BF have still got to play Ivory Coast twice though.
Fox You Forest Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 Anyone watching Ecuador v Argentina ? Nothing wrong with that tackle from the number 6, Messi .
MarkDeVries Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 Anyone watching Ecuador v Argentina ?Nothing wrong with that tackle from the number 6, Messi . I was going to, but then gvae up on the idea. Worth a watch?
Fox You Forest Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 I was going to, but then gvae up on the idea.Worth a watch? It's alright, nothing special. Tevez missed a penalty and Messi missed a sitter but that's about it.
Lillehamring Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 norway were relatively gash again tonight... totally reliant on carew up front, but nothing in midfield, much like city when they went down...great defence but can't score played 5, scored 2, conceded 5 (3 of which against the dutch) - but still only 4 points behind the jocks in 2nd - group of death <_<

Edmund Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 He can head a ball and that's about it Seems pretty solid at the heart of Fulhams defence
Edmund Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 Ecuador beating Argentina 1-0 - Great goal. Yes mate completely forgot about this.
Edmund Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 Could be a long night. Just seen two other matches after this.
Fox You Forest Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 Typical, I knew they'd score if i turned over.
Darkzzz_ Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 Ecuador have deserved this too. Argentina haven't thrilled me at all. Messi missed an open goal and Tevez missed a penalty.

Darkzzz_ Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 Argentina are struggling arent they in qualification? Very poor. They really have been. I would be very surprised if Diego is in charge at the World Cup if they qualify. I think they will qualify even with this (likely) defeat. Looking forward to Brazil, they looked good at the weekend, would be interesting to see them follow this up with another win. Edit: Argentina have lost this game!!

Brazil looked top draw last time out. Even with ten men they bossed the game.
