Ok folks...a little help if you dont mind...

Just looking for a rough guide...How much does stuff cost in the UK, eg...

litre of petrol

night in a 3.5 star hotel

a caravan for a night

loaf of bread

Big Mac

kilo of bananas

a lettuce

cup of coffee in a cafe

Petrol around, 97p

Hotel, £40-£60

Bread, 75p-£1

Big Mac, £1.90 ish.....Meal around £4

No idea on bananas

Coffee, Basic cafe £1 ...Starbucks etc £2.50

There were flights to Oz for about £450 with singapore airlines on there the other day. I was very tempted, think the offer is open until the end of june.

Perth to London return $1399... :) bargain...paid more than that when we came back 15 years ago :o

is there a reasonably priced hotel chain that would be worth looking at..we are planing a 21 day drive all round..so..different hotel/bnb/or caravan park each night

That's £684.... I prefer the £450 :D

Hotel chains, well Travelodge is a basic but clean hotel all around the country... they have £9 ad £19 promotions, one on now actually. http://www.travelodge.co.uk/

Bananas - 50p

Hotel chain - Premier Inn, Holiday Inn or Travel Lodge are fairly well spread around the country.
