Webbo Posted 14 July 2009 Author Posted 14 July 2009 havnt the tigers got a walk of fame or whatever planned for the new ground. for me a statue would be great, and i cant believe stoke beat us to a banks statue.how about a double statue of the two aurthers ..(rowley and chandler that is). If it was going to be anyone then Arthur Rowley, being a record holder, would be the ideal candidate. But lets be honest how many of us would recognise his statue if we hadn't been told who it was?

Ultra Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 251 goals in 303 games. Most of them were in a lower division though..
Fosse Boy Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 Most of them were in a lower division though.. Well, all of his goals at Leicester were still all scored in the top two tiers. Considering all the players that have scored goals in all four divisions before or since it's still a massive achievement. He's an idol to people of my Grandad's generation with good reason.
Babylon Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 O'Neil - Too soon Lineker - Too crispy Rowley - Too Unknown Shilton - Too forest I don't think there is one real stand out candidate. If someone put a gun to my head and made me choose, I think Walsh celebrating the derby goal is as iconic as you can get.
Guest Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 Let's just have a the statue of the 'Unknown Smashing Bunch Of Lads'

I've only got daughters and they couldn't give a shit poop.

Try using the search function and finding the original thread, because this means bugger all to me.
Matt Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 I think it was Radio Leicester on the Phone In over the summer looking for something to discuss so they thrown this subject into the forum, Don't think it was ever a idea mentioned by the club or seriously thought of by the club. I would think the thread in the Leicester City FC Forum bit.

Guest Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...=face&st=45 If you keep on doing the hard work, how are people going to learn to do it themselves.
davieG Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 If you keep on doing the hard work, how are people going to learn to do it themselves. Wasn't that hard,I remembered I'd posted about face masks in it so was easy to search for. I suppose it should be merged now.
Narborough_fox Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 Howard celebrating his goal aginst leeds
Fosse Boy Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 I'm sacking off the idea of Arthur Rowley now. It should be Arthur Chandler with three swans perched on each arm in a nod to the legend about our club record win.

Fosse Boy Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 Wasn't it 5 swans? Yep, but a sixth flew overhead as he scored his sixth, and Leicester's tenth, goal. I think that's how the old fairytale goes anyway...
demon_dog Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 How about a statue of Jobber or Bernie both modern legends.
