dhermon Posted 14 May 2005 Posted 14 May 2005 we had a close call with one of our old cats (fonzie) woke up one morning with blood all over the house and the cat he was a indoor cat so could not have been a car, anyway got him off to the vets a lot of worry and a wad of cash later he was in the car comming home with very little chance of seeing out the weekend .... 15 years later he died at the age of 16 and 1/2 on a side note if u want a friend for him i will gladly fly "lucky" the 2 yr old over just be warned he has a nasty habbit of getting behind the tv and playing with the video and cable cords hence the name lucky oh and still has his nuts so he humps the fat old cat we got
Solihullfox Posted 14 May 2005 Author Posted 14 May 2005 Beam is home and is behaving like a limpet !!! Very unsteady on his feet as there is stiffness from the blood clots in his leg. Got two long areas of flesh showing where his fur has been shaved for drips and LOADS of injections. I have drugs that he must get every day including one that is an eighth of a tablet twice a day, real bitch to try and shave off the right amount with a knife However......... he has to go back for another x-ray on Thursday because there is a shadow showing on his lungs which is either a pocket of fluid remaining from this episode or.... it's a tumour Can everyone do one of those joint prayer jobbies a la the Beckham broken toe to see if we can get him through this ? Thanks to everyone who's pulling for Beamish.

shen Posted 14 May 2005 Posted 14 May 2005 C'mon Beamish! I'm sure he still has a few of his 9 lives left to live My own cat was on the verge of dying some years ago after a car drove into him. But he made a miraculous recovery and is now very much alive and kicking! Beamish seems a stubborn cat as well, so no doubt he'll pull through
Guest freund Posted 15 May 2005 Posted 15 May 2005 Poor little cat. 108406 nice one snoogles
Collymore Posted 19 May 2005 Posted 19 May 2005 My dog Rusty was put down yesterday. He was 15 years old, He's been like a brother to me.
Solihullfox Posted 19 May 2005 Author Posted 19 May 2005 Really sorry for you mate. Dogs really are a mans best friend.
Solihullfox Posted 19 May 2005 Author Posted 19 May 2005 Any updates? 111512 Sorry Steven I've been away working. Beam has been back to the vets today for another x-ray. They are still not sure if he has a tumour because the x-ray is inconclusive. He has to go for another one in two weeks to see if the shadow has grown. Meanwhile he is getting all his drugs twice daily. On the positive side he is bright and happy Will keep you updated as and when.

Dave_7 Posted 12 June 2005 Posted 12 June 2005 steven who exactly is that kicking the leicester player in your pic?
Solihullfox Posted 12 June 2005 Author Posted 12 June 2005 Beamish is sitting on the table in our conservatory, eyeing up the robins nest (real one, not the 70's TV prog) in our garden and is on two types of medication, twice daily. He has got a tumour in his chest but the latest x-ray shows it to be slow growing so he will hopefully be around for quite a while. Since the illness he has been transformed from a cat that wanted fuss about three times a day for a couple of minutes to a limpet puss that is so friendly he is forever under my feet. The vets have closed down for a couple of weeks and bu$*ered off on a luxury holiday on the back of my bills being paid, almost as lucrative as being a plumber. Thanks again for everyone's concern, maybe the collective good wishes helped to pull him through
Solihullfox Posted 12 June 2005 Author Posted 12 June 2005 steven who exactly is that kicking the leicester player in your pic? 122422 That's the angelic Mr. Shearer booting Neil Lennon in the face at Filbo. This is the incident where he allegedly said he would have to consider his England future if he was banned for the incident.
