ob1kanobe0 Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I know what you are trying to say and I agree with that as it follows the concept of a forum! However, there needs to be a set of rules and guidelines which draw a line between what's right and wrong. If someone is really offensive then there shouldn't be a place for it in the forums. I can accept the instances where there is an opinion or discussion and it can be very borderline between right or wrong. There just needs to be a level playing field where everyone can have their general chat but obviously within reason in that it should be offensive. At the end of the day, any discussion should be talked about as if you were having it in a public place and people shouldn't say stuff hiding behind a screen that they wouldn't say out loud in public! Anyway, its all regardless, and thats for a whole new discussion altogether (IMO ), and keeping ontopic, the general chat should stick around for all the general randomness that goes on in this world! Where else could we discuss the topic of which toothpaste everyone uses?!?! The all-seeing eye will decide what is right and what is wrong, most people can tell most of it, but who knows the full SP? Not even the rules state the full rules.
Koke Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 If it wasn't for that BNP thread, this summer would have been rubbish. 52 pages of repetetive tedious crap, yet I kept going back to it.

Koke Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 I attract bad luck and violence. And I love tedious crap. I'm such a good man. I'll make a lovely husband one day.

It was starting to get very interesting aswell I thought just before it got closed WW Deuce chat and a bit of conspiracy!
Daggers Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 General chat is becoming a total waste of time, racism and abuse sums it up! It's just a subset of the internet - which, as I pointed out a month ago, is now almost entirely shit. I blame young people, their stupid ideas and that Barry bloke who sells cleaning products on TV.

I blame young people too, I hate them, with their iphones and crap hair. When I learned that Barry bloke isn't actually called Barry, a little part of me died

You get about 45,000 in a town (or 20 million in the country) with the same stupid do cos of some ponce world famous hairdresser who does a footballers or soapstars bonnet and the 'cool' ones follow. It always amazes me how many clones are out there, I love watchin em walk through town with the 'I'm special' strut ! Especially if they over 25 In my eyes when someone walks out of a salon after a makeover they look like this : Get a grip people, natural's best. I wish I was cool

skinnydipper Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Sir Fynwy, you are right ....and you are wrong General chat is full of shit but it should certainly not be closed. To do so would risk contaminating other forums with the sewage that is currently contained in this forum Imagine the Leicester City forum if General chat were closed: Thread 1 - City players wives, girlfriends (and sisters) that you would shag Thread 2 - Should the likes of Powell, Gradel and N'Guessan be allowed to wear the shirt again? Discuss Thread 3 - After that Fryatt shot that hit both posts and rolled along the line in the 90th minute , denying us the win- Is there a God ? Thread 4 - Poll: Which cake would be the best half time snack to give our players the edge for the second half ? a) Battenburg b) Victoria Sponge c) Carrot Quite handy to have most of the shit in one forum So , long live General chat

Guest Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 I would like to say that battenburgs are one of the kings of cakes.
Guest Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 I'll nominate Coconut cake as a proper, good cake. Only if it contains cherries. Mine was a prize winner back in 1983.
Salieri Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Just eaten some Mr.Kipling Manor House cake. Probably the nicest piece of cake ive ever eaten. But i am rather drunk, so opinion is subject to change........
