Uncle Phil Posted 4 August 2009 Author Posted 4 August 2009 Yeah I like to catch the late 90's ones, ahhh those were the days....
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 Loved these when they were on Sky. The best ones liek you say were the late 90s. Remember watching the 1997-98 one with the Arsenal game on it. Those were the days.....
C-man Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 Watched this season's review when I woke up on Saturday morning. Guppy scored a better one against Wimbledon at Selhurst Park. It was absolutely stunning. Infact:
Corky Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 I remember Savage's exceptional lob over Mark Bosnich against Villa that season. Class
C-man Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 We did score some absolute belters that season. Izzet's lob against Leeds in the League Cup and his volley against Spurs in the MON match, sexy as fuck! Heskey's run and daisy cutter against Arsenal and some of Cottee's 17/18 goals that season were a joy to behold.

I think one was against Forest at home.

Nick Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 Yep, after Van Hooijdonk had been sent off. The commentator on the video says 'never trust a man who walks around with grease on his head' I love it that you remember that.

It was absolutely stunning. Infact: :worship: I think he's been my hero since the day he scored against Chelsea, but that Wimbledon goal was a cracker.
Nick Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 This brings back some memories....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1V2Kdq79iA...PL&index=14
Hitesh Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Anyone know of any sites I can see stuff from the 90's?? I know there were some clips from MOTD from 97/98 but wouldn't mind seeing more!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 I'll never forget Guppy's goal at Chelsea. Remember we were 2-0 down and got it back to 2-1 and thne Guppy cut in side and curled it around Ed Goey! I went mental! Those were the days......
Guest Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Collymore's hat-trick in his home debut against Sunderland live on Sky is my favourite ever LCFC performance - possibly the last time him and Hesley played together we absolutely tore them apart - we'll never reach that pinacle or at least for a long long time.

We were like L1 in the top few rows of the carling stand that match. Constantly chanting Stan the man owns a van or something, i mean constant singing for the whole game. And we drove past the 2 random blokes who were sitting near us chanting that game on the way home. Absolutely brilliant.

My favourite game at filbo by a mile. Peter Reids got a fooking monkeys head, a fooking monkeys head, a fooking monkeys head.

Just been on Premiership Years- fantastic performance and what a volley! Also interesting to remember that even during our successful period it wasn't always amicable off the pitch.
Ultra Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Indeed - ten years ago, MON and the board were at war for months! Fortunately, results on the field didn't suffer.
