Ashley Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Derby always have massive crowds. Whatever people say about them, the fans pack it. Derby fans get free tickets for test driving a car and other similar things.
Sky Blue Posted 9 August 2009 Author Posted 9 August 2009 Sounded like there was absolutely no atmosphere there today, barely heard a single song all match. Just wait till our fans turn up for the infamous M69 derby, their fans will be deafened. In fairness mate your vocal support is always shite when you come to the Ricoh... actually even when we go your place your support is pretty bad. The atmosphere was ok today, the scoreboard corner was very loud at times and we generally outsung them for the whole game. I think we can all mutually agree that Ipswich's vocal support is worse than both of our's combined
The Stig Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Is it impossible to have a civilised conversation with a supporter who supports a football club who are situated reasonably close to us? Remind me exactly what the point in the childish digs that are appearing in this thread?
lildave3 Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 We all sing together..... WE WILL NEVER LOSE! While we sing together
theoxonfox Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 You can never have a civilised conversation wiv a coventry fan!and he aint answered my question why they need such a big ground for?
Sky Blue Posted 9 August 2009 Author Posted 9 August 2009 That's what happens when you only have one song. You're just jealous of it Dave
lildave3 Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 You're just jealous of it Dave I do actually like it, but a bit of variety wouldn't help
Fosse Boy Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 The only two good things to come out of Coventry are The Specials and the M69.
Corky Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 The only two good things to come out of Coventry are The Specials and the M69. And Tim Flowers.
Shrenchel Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 A Cov fan goes to Ground Zero a year after 9/11. He notices two firefighters paying their respects. He goes over and says, " I just want to say what a heroic job your boys did on this day. It was a tragic event that touched me very deeply, I've come a long way to be here today." One of the firefighters says, "Gee thanks very much sir, we appreciate it. Where are you from then?" "Coventry", says the Cov fan. "Oh yeah, never heard of it, what state is that in?" "Well, about the same as this really." Apologies if this joke is well old, only heard it for the first time yesterday and thought it was alright.
Sky Blue Posted 9 August 2009 Author Posted 9 August 2009 You can never have a civilised conversation wiv a coventry fan!and he aint answered my question why they need such a big ground for? Why can't you? I came on here totally civilised and had a few little digs and a bit of banter thrown my way... so really you can't have a civilised conversation with a Leicester fan. But in fairness i did give some back and some of the comments from your lot were quite amusing I have no idea why we have such a big ground tbh mate, we can't fill the bastard and i'm not gonna lie about it we're an awfully supported club considering the population of the city and the surrounding areas. But it's our home now and i guess it'll have to do!
Sky Blue Posted 9 August 2009 Author Posted 9 August 2009 I do actually like it, but a bit of variety wouldn't help Haha, i bet you really quietly hum it to yourself when we start singing it
lildave3 Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Haha, i bet you really quietly hum it to yourself when we start singing it Hum? I sing along!
Sky Blue Posted 9 August 2009 Author Posted 9 August 2009 Hum? I sing along! Ooh even better! You know the fact that you all know the lyrics to one of our songs proves how much you all really love us deep down... and i feel terribly rude cause i don't know any Leicester songs. Anyone care to give me a quick rendition of one... i promise to sing along

And if there is a more dull and tedious personality than Nige Pearson, it is Chris Coleman.

And if there is a more dull and tedious personality than Nige Pearson, it is Chris Coleman. I know i am mate, we've got a hell of a lot of ****** who call themselves Coventry supporters. I'll go for mid-table as a decent finish considering how small our squad is at this moment in time, but we've still got a couple of weeks left of the transfer window to go (am i right?) and apparently we've already had a bid accepted for an 'unknown' midfielder and he should sign within the next week or so. Rumour has it that it's Brian Stock from Doncaster... whether you believe it or not is your call! Coleman is a bit dull and tedious i know but we still love him, at least we know who's better looking out the two
Sky Blue Posted 9 August 2009 Author Posted 9 August 2009 WE ALL SLEEEEEP TOGGGGGGGGGGGETHER. *tumbleweed blows past* Shut the door on your way out mate
Koke Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Derby fans get free tickets for test driving a car and other similar things. Free tickets for test driving cars - is this true? Fuck this tight-arsed club. I might as well become a Derby fan.
Joe. Posted 9 August 2009 Posted 9 August 2009 Surely you won't get Stock? He's their captain and easily the best player they've got now. Wouldn't have thought Doncaster'd have to be in a position to sell anymore now after Mills and Wellens have already left.
