SOCCERROO FOX Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 Glad Spurs got the job done. It just shows that even with all that money Man City still can't achieve much.
C-man Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 Doubt it will have any impact at all on World football or even European football. Really? I would've thought that if Man City had got a CL spot they could begin to distort the market even further. As it is it'll be harder for them to attract the top names with no CL.

Agree the elite players want to play CL, with out CL man city will struggle to recruit the elite players that would see them seriously challenging chelsea and man u.

Well it might well impact of Man City but the rest will carry on as if nothings happened, let's not forget that Spurs have been the 2nd biggest spenders these last few years so it's no surprise they are where they are especially as Redknapp's had chance to settle the team down.

Exactly And lets not forget they must be up there with one of the biggest wage bills in the prem. Hats off to Harry for dismantling Liverpool out of the top four but I wouldn't say it's achievement of the year when you see how much money has been splashed. In my opinion Spurs have been underachieving for years. If you want a real achievement look no further than Fulham.

I was just thinking that a place in the CL for Man City would inflate the transfer market even more and other leagues may have had to give up some of their best players. Suppose it's all ifs and buts and we'll have to wait and see if they do get a place next season. Either way, I'm pleased for Spurs. Excellent season.
Corky Posted 6 May 2010 Posted 6 May 2010 Spurs deserved the win, no doubt about it, and over 37 games they've been the fourth best side so fair play to them.
Uncle Albert Posted 6 May 2010 Posted 6 May 2010 Hahaha so glad Man City arent in the Champs League!!
Ford Super Sunday Posted 7 May 2010 Posted 7 May 2010 Harry Redknapp wins Manager of the year Not my first choice personally, but understand why he got it. Well done Harry, totally justified in taking all that heat when he left Pompey.
