DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 its the flag of my country and i would love to bring it to a Leicester gameyou often see flags of Ireland at Anfield or even Israel at Tottenham i dont see how i'd be trying to spark a reaction? the whole idea of this thread is too see if i would get a reaction from it as i DON'T want a reaction like i said in my first post, there's a bloke in the Kop who bring an Irish flag to all the games how is Algeria any different?? So what is stopping you from taking it? Just do it. Haven't you got a mind of your own? What does it matter what people here may say? If you want to take it, then take it. If you don't, then don't. Simple as that.
Tommy G Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 does anyone take a flag to away games?and if i had an Algerian flag at a game what do you think the reaction would be from the Leicester away fans?? there's a bloke who sits in the Kop who always has an Ireland flag at games..... can't see how me having an Algerian one would be any different What has Algeria got to do with Leicester City football club? I consider myself to fall into the category of white british but I'm not sitting at work with a flag wrapped round me. Do you go shopping with your flag? I can appreciate a leicester flag at a game, especially away games but just a flag of a country at a football game is just like weird? Whatever background you are from. You will spend the whole game explaining why you have a random Algerian flag at a Leicester game instead of actually watching the game. Probably racists taunts from the Newcastle fans aswell. Waste of time and just an attention seeking exercise that will probably backfire, do it at your peril sonny jim

I think it's bonkers and would be pretty pissed of if some twat was waving a Chinese flag around all game just because they were from China. People take flags to games that relate to the club, simples.

Tommy G Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 i honestly dont understand how anybody could get pissed off because of someone having a flag of a different country?it really baffles me and i never said anything about waving it around..... Because I'm asking you what the hell you will achieve from taking it apart from a load of puzzled faces. i wouldn't even take an england flag to a football game unless it was the national team. I would, if it had the lcfc badge on though? Is that what you are doing?

Is that what you are doing? yes i'm having 'SAHARA FOXES' on it i have said that about 6 times and i will achieve having the flag of my country at a Leicester game, which would mean a lot to me

I don't think Tommy G is getting pissed off, it just doesn't really understand why you'd take a flag. I guess he's saying that if, for example, he lived in Paris and went down a PSG game he wouldn't take an English flag, which is his personal preference I guess. I don't think I probably would, unless I whacked something on the flag to relate it to a game (like you mentioned with "SAHARA FOXES"). That's just my personal preference, I have no problem with anyone else who chooses to wave a flag around, wherever it's from

You still haven't got my point but never mind. Must remember to bring my union jack next home game

Hugo Sanchez Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 Seen a massive scotland flag with the Leicester badge in the middle before.
Webbo Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 Some people are so narrow minded. I took this flag to the match on Saturday with the 'Save the Bridge Campaign' under 12s and you should have seen some of the looks we got.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 Take your flag, put Sahara Foxes on it and ignore the ******. I'm sure they'll be in the minority and I for one would like to see more people celebrating their identity rather than feeling they have to hide it because of an idiotic few.
Fosse Boy Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 my brother Can I be an honourary Arab? I am pretty down with the west. Guess Dave's going too.I'll see you there mate...You best have the flag. It's just that RAF disabled we're waiting on. Honestly, these bloody Armed Forces types...
Alexikokopops Posted 26 August 2009 Posted 26 August 2009 Can I be an honourary Arab? I am pretty down with the west. I can count to five in Arabic, plus my dad lived in Libya for 8ish years when he were a young 'un. I'm definitely joining Sahara foxes, although I think I'll shelter under the Algerian flag for the time being. I don't think a Libyan flag would go down that well given recent events... As an aside, is the Libyan flag the worst flag in the world today?

Why is it that when I read the words 'Pariah State' on a newspaper headline at the minute regarding Megrahi I can't decide if they mean Libya or Scotland?

Fosse Boy Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 What's the best method of DIY flag customisation? Is painting on the flag out of the question?
