Fox92 Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 does anyone take a flag to away games?and if i had an Algerian flag at a game what do you think the reaction would be from the Leicester away fans?? there's a bloke who sits in the Kop who always has an Ireland flag at games..... can't see how me having an Algerian one would be any different Just take your flag and see what happens although nothing should, plenty of people take them. Ivory Coast, Ireland, Bulgaria etc. Even at other matches, Wales, Portugal, Spain etc. Its about supporting your club and the players why tell me to get a grip? I dont want to see an arabic flag next to me. Would the algerians like it if i took an england flag to there football matchs?? well there we go. Stop trying not to offend, its not on, simple as. Don't sit near anyone with the flag. Simple. __________ You shouldn't be fighting over a flag. You're at the match to do one thing; cheer on Nigel, Milan and the boys! Now come on
Guest Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 it wouldn't be pointless to me flying the flag of my country while watching the football team i supporti would love it ok well i'll go back to AFIE's idea and get 'SAHARA FOXES' on it in big blue letters I quite like this idea. You obviously feel strongly and it would mean a lot to you to fly your flag. At the same time, SAHARA FOXES shows some humour and wouldstep you clear of any agro I'd imagine -THAT is what you should do!
Fosse Boy Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I quite like this idea. You obviously feel strongly and it would mean a lot to you to fly your flag. LCFC-ARAB Posted 21 August 2009 Author Posted 21 August 2009 now all i have to do is find a way of getting SAHARA FOXES onto my flag.... how do people cutomise flags??
haraven Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 During the first half time break I was ever present on Walkers Stadium, think it was against Brighton, I saw a dude parading the Norwegian flag on his back. I was like "what the fook", so I went over to him and chatted in Norwegian. He looked back at me saying "Sorry mate, what language are you speaking?" And I pointed at his flag saying "Norwegian" - he just laughed and said it was a garment using the Norwegian flag... Not a great seller over here, had to google it to figure out it is called http://www.napapijri.com/ Anyways, I don't really see why anyone should be offended for you bringing an Algerian flag to a match. It shows just how great many fans worldwide Leicester City has, that is something all should be proud of.
Budweiser Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 it wouldn't be pointless to me flying the flag of my country while watching the football team i supporti would love it ok well i'll go back to AFIE's idea and get 'SAHARA FOXES' on it in big blue letters At your own risk. Seriously, their will be trouble. Especially from the person sitting behind you. Bit pointless. EDIT: Shall we play a bit of this?
Bryn Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Blueharmie is a ten-a-penny retard. But sadly, you get a lot of them at football matches. I think you'd be wise not to take it, I'm not sure you'd be 100% safe. But it comes down to how much you want to take a stand, and if you do then all credit to you. It is a sad fact that flag-bearing is contentious in this country, but it is a fact nonetheless.
Daggers Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 the whole idea of this thread was to find out if that would happen....and i have I got shit so much last season for my Y Ddraig Goch. Despite us having a proud history of Welsh players. Despite us having two U21s in the side. Inchless cunts. Oh, look...here comes one now: <****all of importance>
Koke Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I think certain flags are OK and "acceptable" while other flags are not and "offends" people. If you feel strong about it, then you should take it - I personally really couldn't be arsed with all the hassle and potential backlash with my fellow fans, so I wouldn't personally take it.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 22 August 2009 Author Posted 22 August 2009 i don't think i'm going to take it, the thread did it's job At your own risk. Seriously, their will be trouble. Especially from the person sitting behind you. Bit pointless.EDIT: Shall we play a bit of this? and what the hell has India got to do with Algeria? Algeria is in Africa, and if it was about Islam then i am not Muslim you dont have to be Muslim to be an Arab
Fosse Boy Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Take it mate! I'll bring my Union Jack as a peace offering to the ******...
Madrid_Fox Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 I would never dare take an English flag into a Real Madrid game.
lcfcmad2005 Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 we take this england flag to every Malaga game we took it to real madrid away last year and will be taking it this year

Fox92 Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 now all i have to do is find a way of getting SAHARA FOXES onto my flag....how do people cutomise flags?? Local printers is the best idea...
Guest Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 I've been thinking about this one. What is the difference between wearing a football shirt, and taking a flag to a game? It's not a bad joke, honest! When I go to games in the UK, I see people wearing national shirts, such as Brazil, Argentina, Italy etc, yet neither club has a player of these nationalities playing for them. Nobody bats an eyelid. So why should a flag be any different? Take your flag, don't worry about anyone else!
Katy Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 I quite like this idea. You obviously feel strongly and it would mean a lot to you to fly your flag. At the same time, SAHARA FOXES shows some humour and wouldstep you clear of any agro I'd imagine -THAT is what you should do! The thing is the people who are thick enough to have a go, are the people who are too thick to get the humour of it. It's swings and roundabouts I guess.

Halfsy Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Blueharmie, you are so ignorant and narrow minded it is an embarrassment. And judging by you saying it is my opinion, and i am right, you're also very arrogant too. Leicester is a very multicultural place and i think it is fantastic that someone of Algerian origin would choose to support Leicester, and i don't know but i dare say England too when we are in the World Cup. Why can't City fans just be one united group, who go to each game we play to support their town, be it their birthplace or otherwise?
Budweiser Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 i don't think i'm going to take it, the thread did it's joband what the hell has India got to do with Algeria? Madrid_Fox Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 yeah were in madrid 2 weeks on the trot half way through the season weve got real then atletico so are u a Madrid Ultra! I go to the home games and try to squeeze in a few away's if I can. Although the away games all tend to be somewhere where I can easily get to a beach.
