Hugo Sanchez Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 my picture isn't the flag i was talking aboutbut that writing is arabic and is says Algeria thought that was pretty obvious..... unless you assumed it said 'down with the west' and Algeria hasn't got anything to do with Leicester, apart from me i'm Algerian and have supported Leicester my whole life, i knew i'd get some disabled saying something about my flag, but to say it offends them is a bit much? what has Algeria ever done to you? Still what has Algeria gotta do with Leicester ? Ok if a player playing for us was from Algeria then ok thats fine but it hasn't. Ok you might be from Algeria but still how is that supporting Leicester ? Surely a Leicester a flag would be better then bringing a flag what lay no revlance to Leicester, Like your trying to spark a reaction.

Honestly, some of our fans are ridiculous I can only imagine which section of our fanbase it is as well..

Surely a Leicester a flag would be better then bringing a flag what lay no revlance to Leicester, Like your trying to spark a reaction. its the flag of my country and i would love to bring it to a Leicester game you often see flags of Ireland at Anfield or even Israel at Tottenham i dont see how i'd be trying to spark a reaction? the whole idea of this thread is too see if i would get a reaction from it as i DON'T want a reaction like i said in my first post, there's a bloke in the Kop who bring an Irish flag to all the games how is Algeria any different??

To be fair to him, he didn't say Algeria was any different. I don't have any problem whatsoever with anyone bringing whatever flag they want to a Leicester game, I just think they're all (apart from Leicester, England and possibly GB) a bit pointless. Would a geezer of Irish descent living in Leicester walk round Tesco or go down the pub or to bloody hollywood bowl or whatever draped in an Irish flag? Would he fook, so how does it suddenly become essential wear for the football.

I don't have a problem with you bringing a Algeria flag to a leicester game and i think it would be good for Leicester showing we have fans all around the world and from different backgrounds. I think it be better to stick maybe LCFC on it though, some people might react to it but i don't see why though being Algeria haven't got bad press here. I would say bring it but people might have ago but i see no reason to though.

(i know that sounds stupid) but i support Leicester City and Algeria, why cant i bring the flag of the national team i support as you would for the England flag

I don't know you can bring it but it all seems a little bit pointless. Anyway normally England flags have like LCFC in the corners.

Big Ol' Bob Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 What are you trying to prove, its just going to draw attention to yourself, so if you are happy to have everyone staring at you and your flag then take it, if not leave it at home. Simple as.

People can do whatever they want. I've just always thought it's a bit bizarre when people bring flags that aren't of the team, the country the team is from or one of the player's countries. I honestly couldn't give enough of a fook though to make any kind of fuss. You're making it into much more an issue than it is. I wouldn't have even cared enough to post if I wasn't at work with fook all else to do.

purpleronnie Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Why would an arabic flag be offensive? he's proud of his heritage and supports the same club we do, some people are uneducated fools.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Why would an arabic flag be offensive? he's proud of his heritage and supports the same club we do, some people are really are uneducated fools. Exactly and they are the kind of ignorant ****s who would be likely to make a big deal of it. If you do take your flag, fair play, I would respect that. I just know that there are people out there who probably wouldn't.
purpleronnie Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I can't understand why a flag of a different country would offend someone, it blows my mind.
