Babylon Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Loved the roses and some of his solo stuff (FEAR mainly), he'd gone off the boil though for me to be honest. Just gave the 4 track Stellify EP a listen though and it's good stuff. Looking forward to De Mont in November.
Finchy Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Ay up, he's playing De Montfort? Seeing him a week today at Reading but i'd love to see him in Leicester. Love his solo stuff, some of it as much as some Roses tracks. I agree his recent efforts have been a bit average, especially his last album but i'm loving Stelify to be honest.
Finchy Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 ta, he's a legend. Makes me feel privileged to have East Midlands local news.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 He's got some good solo stuff, The World Is Yours, Dolphins Were Monkeys, Reign, Illegla Attacks, Golden Gaze, FEAR. Can listen to it as much as I can The Stone Roses. This effort doesn't disappoint me.

Matt Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Ian Brown/Noel Gallagher could get together now That would be good, I loved 'Keep What Ya Got', Get an album out together! Might look into getting tickets to see him at DMH.
The Reverend Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 Anyone bought the album today? Listened to the first 5 tracks, and I enjoyed it. Off to a stormer with Stellify. Apparently Stellify was written for Rhianna intrerestingly. But I liked what I heard and looking forward to listening to the rest tomorrow.

Totally forgot it was out today, i'll have to pop into Asda on the way home from work tomorrow I think.
Babylon Posted 30 September 2009 Author Posted 30 September 2009 Always remember me is bloody fantastic.
The Reverend Posted 30 September 2009 Posted 30 September 2009 Well, I wasnt expecting that. Its a very, very good album. I was expecting a few good tracks, 3/4, but theres 7/8 really good tunes on there. Gets of to a belting start, the first 5 tracks are excellent. Absolutely love 'In the year 2525'. 'For The Glory' is also a great track. Really liking it. Always remember me is bloody fantastic. He looks fucking dreadful at the moment. He's very thin, but he always has been.
Rocket-Ron Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 Sounds no different from every other Ian Brown Album Very disapointing
