Poznan34 Posted 2 November 2012 Posted 2 November 2012 This set of programmes has just been a bit weird really.
Captain... Posted 2 November 2012 Posted 2 November 2012 It looks to me a bit of desperation from Darren Brown because he has been caught out and the guy really is an actor! It's all too fake for me unfortunately If he was going to use an actor he wouldn't use one that had been in anything recognisable, and were the rest of his family actors too? If so then how come they haven't been outed as fake, or do we presume that nobody knows any of them and they are actually a family of hermit actors who never meet anybody and just perform family plays to nobody. Oh hang on it's just finished, yeah they are all actors, it was in the credits, that was an oversight by Derren.

Infact he has out of this world powers that noone else has....
Captain... Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Oh I forgot Darren Brown was a magician and its all illusions... Infact he has out of this world powers that noone else has.... He is not a magician, he is primarily a hypnotist, with skills in cold reading and psychological profiling, he is also an adept illusionist and is skilled in slight of hand and other tricks, but that wouldn't be good enough alone. But what he is above all else is a showman, and he puts on a great show, he wouldn't risk compromising that by using actors, it would get out, it would be too big a story to not, and as I said unless these people have no friends and no interaction with anyone else, they would be recognised. Just look at what happened on this one, they tried to prove he was an actor and found some guy from an obscure pot noodle ad that looks like him. Basically all this show was was an elaborate hypnosis, hypnotists can get people to believe they are being chased by zombies without leaving the stage, this was just a more elaborate stage with more people to enhance the experience and to make it a good show.
RyanLCFC18 Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 He's not an actor. this could of been acted...
Leicfox Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Anyone catch the latest one...Fear and Faith ?
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Anyone catch the latest one...Fear and Faith ? Was shite. The little man who had a fear of confrontation will end up with a major arse kicking if he gets involved in a real life scenario.
Leicfox Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Was shite. The little man who had a fear of confrontation will end up with a major arse kicking if he gets involved in a real life scenario. I thought it was quite interesting to know we have it in our own brains the ability to cure phobia's and anxiety but the fact many find it such a struggle including myself to find out how. It'd be nice to find out how they all got along long term, as it's so easy to fall back into bad habits.
Rincewind Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Why did that bloke want to get involved in a fight? Could have been glassed or worse. If he tries it for real there won't be the camera crew to save him. A lot was put on I thought and for the camera. If it had failed would they show those bits?
FoxesAreBlue Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 I thought it was all a bit suspect, especially the confrontation guy, in a real bar/club he's gonna get knocked the **** out if he sticks his face in somebody else's fight.

Rincewind Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 Watching the latest on +1. Just got to the part where we have to send granny outside. I think some of this seems valid. If you look at priests they do a lot of hand gestures. Well most religious clerics actually. I don't think they know why just that it has been around thousands of years and the first ones found it worked. Probably because speech was minimal so a lot of communication was done by gestures.
ousefox Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 Thought todays was crap but have enjoyed most of the stuff he's done. Watched his Svengali show which was class.
Rincewind Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 He did what I said had happened to someone I know who found God after going through a crisais. It was the intervention part. The suggestion was put in his mind that believing would help him and when things improved he connected the two.
