Proof, if proof were needed that Derren Brown talks shit. :P

I knew this wouldnt work, as this isnt how Derren did it. If you watched the show closely, he had a board of all the past lottery results, that the 24 people were focusing on and the whole idea of it was that the people would pick up a pattern without noticing so when they came to pick the numbers they're actually picking the next number in the pattern and the idea of getting the average is so that the over all ending evens itself out nicely. So we need a board full of the past lottery results, around 24 people really focusing on the board for a long period of time. If we dont do that, were not going to get very far.

So if someone can get all the past lottery results, we can get started. OH WAIT! We cant get all the past lottery results without an inside-man working for the lottery, oh damn..

...what? I don't see how it needs proving. The lottery is RANDOM.

When i said prove it, i ment prove that you can get all the past lottery results online. Nothing about how the lottery is random. :P

if you watched the show closely, youd of seen these 24 people didnt even know what numbers they even had for the draw they won on, which was very handy for Derren.

Watched it and wished I hadn't.

Even if I was willing to accept all the hypnosis crap I just felt the whole thing was poorly done. The questions he was getting his collaborators on tv and radio to ask were so poor and unrealistic. The worst example undoubtedly being "Any virus issues?" when the guy was talking about a possible meteor shower. Who the hell would ask that and even if they did they certainly wouldn't put their question that way. Thought Brown was meant to be a professional at this kind of thing. The explosions were ridiculous and didn't look anything like meteors crashing to earth and the acting performance of that girl was dreadful. Also who the would buy that there is just one route to Scotland and one to Wales? Besides which, if there was a virus surely staying on the same land mass would be stupid and the real evacuation route would be over water to To France or the Channel Isles. I also felt that the way the guy reacted was far too predictable and deliberate which made me think he was in on it. How could they know he would tamely trot around holding hands with that girl and meekly do everything he was told and not pick up a 2 by 4 and start smashing zombie heads in? And surely you would have asked that ambulance bloke why he was speeding through a nuclear compound on his own looking as though he was heading somewhere and then suddenly just became all about you and some girl.

I think it was an interesting idea but really badly executed

Fair point. But I mean faked, as in the guy was just an actor, none of the hypnosis crap was real

Derren Brown is a magician NOT a psychologist. All he does is dress up magic tricks (the majority are varient on 'is this your card?') as mind reading, mind programming etc. He makes no claims to be a psychologist, he is a showman (a very good one at that).

We were all thinking the same about you. Crafty Mark had hired an acting troll to bother all the other posters. Then you made this post, and we all knew that no one could have scripted something so stupid.

You won't be saying that when we're all posting from the South of France.

I am posting from the south of France.

I think it was a bit harsh on the guy. Alright he was lazy but everyone he knows conspiring against him to think it is the end of the world is a bit OTT. Imagine what he's going to think at the end! And all for Derren Brown to get some TV views.

Edit: The link above makes me think it was faked.

It did look all fake and think the bloke they used did seem too much like an actor, I like Derren Brown and what he does, however the last few things i've had many question about and don't think were real/actors used.

I want to see him live, I know someone who has seen him live and he said it was brilliant, atleast if its there live infront of you it seems abit more real, of course he could still use actors in a live show but still it's something i'd be interested in seeing.

I've seen him live and it was brilliant!

I went to see the same show twice - it was the 'Enigma' show.

My sister and her boyfriend went and he picked on him. He had to think of a country and not to tell anyone until the end of the show - he choose Afghanistan, said he had no idea why, just picked it - then at the end of the show they pulled down a banner from a box suspended above the stage and it said Afghanistan. He was spooked out by it.

I also recommend doing this http://www.byzantiumtests.com/ He retweeted it the other week. It takes a little while but it's worth doing all 5 steps to see what you come up with at the end.

Definitely fake, didn't believe all that hypnosis crap so did some digging.

Possible proof

Apparently not.

I love that people think my husband @_KarlGreenwood_ was the guy on Derren Brown on Friday night, it definitely wasn't him!#Apocalypse
