Benji Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 I hate commentators as it is but (i think it's) Clive needs to shut the hell up. Mute.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Crouch and Agbonlahor have shown flashes of great play, Agbonlahor needs to be given more chances to run at them though.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Oh. Wright-Phillips is playing.
Budweiser Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Bad keeping, as for the defending EDIT: Beckham must have dyed that beard, fuck me! What a plank.
sdb Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 They're so poor at the back! Defenders will not just boot it to safety!
Tommeh Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Beckham and now big Carlton coming on, this game just grabbed my attention. Huge fan of the beard too. The guy can do NO wrong.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 I don't think the commentators have said quite how good a save that was yet!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Beckham could shave a massive penis into his hair for all I care. Even now he's still much better than Wirght Phillips can ever dream of being. Hope Big Carlton scores.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 *When's Hargreaves due back? Brilliant player.
Tommeh Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 *When's Hargreaves due back?Brilliant player. Absolutely. I'd put him in without a moments doubt, best player united have behind Rooney. And my chosen holding player in world football behind Essien Hope gets back in time to replace Barry.
Samilktray Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 I cant stand seeing Peter Crouch in an England shirt, horrible sight. Get D Beeeezy in, or Mickey.

And my chosen holding player in world football behind Essien Hope gets back in time to replace Barry. Yeah. Barry's alright but Hargreaves is on another level to him. As for the Crouch situation, it still has to be Heskey and Rooney. I can never recall Rooney even nearing some of his recent form for England alongside Crouch.
maddog Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Crouch seems to get into the right positions where Heskey doesn't. But i think Heskey is a more powerful option and against stronger sides he is the better option. Against sides like Belarus Crouch is the better option. Tough decision for Capello.
Fox You Forest Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Andy Townsend ruined that for me, Barry was shit.
dandannieldanok Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Played Crouchy, no surprise to see him on the scoresheet.
Corky Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Pretty routine really. 34 goals in qualifying- excellent effort.
Guest Bilo Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Pretty routine really.34 goals in qualifying- excellent effort. The most in Europe, shows how far we've come as a team. A shame we couldn't beat Ukraine on Saturday really, would have been nice to qualify with a 100% record like Spain and Holland. Also, I would have preferred Croatia at the World Cup.
sdb Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 I hate ITV more and more with each viewing. They really do know fook all about anything and everything.
Uncle Albert Posted 15 October 2009 Author Posted 15 October 2009 34 goals in that qualifying group is a brilliant effort especially as we didnt score in the Ukraine. First half we were poor last night, didnt think much of Lennon or Wright-Phillips. Agbonlahor wasnt very confident either set up Crouch for his first goal, the only thing worth mentioning. Second half was alot better we looked to get the ball wider and put balls in for Crouchy, Beckham coming on gave us a different option but for Steve Bruce to give him MOTM was a joke. 16 goals in 17 starts for Crouch - I dont care if people say against shit opposition but this stat is incredible, he can only score against the opposition he is facing.

Agreed, its the same opposition for all of the rest of the England team so anyone using it as an argument against Crouch is a fool.
