Matt Posted 24 January 2010 Author Posted 24 January 2010 I don't necessarily disagree with that, but look at the FA cup final of 2008. Billed to be one of the most exciting because of the lack of top 4 teams yet Pompey-Cardiff proved to be one of the dullest finals in history. If you want Stoke to go through at the expense of Arsenal then fine, I just can't fathom it myself. I despise Man Utd but I think even I'd want them to go through at the expense of anti-football Stoke. But I don't want Stoke to win the competition, I just want Arsenal out, Obviously if Stoke do go through they'll be one step closer to the final, but I would rather that.
Tilley Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 I don't think anyone wants to see Stoke in the final, always nice to see upsets in the Cup though. Yeah, agree completely. I can't stand Leeds but when Beckford scored at Old Trafford and equalised yesterday in the 95th minute, it was brilliant. Just strange people want arguably the most exciting team in England to go out because they don't want a boring final.
Samilktray Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 But I don't want Stoke to win the competition, I just want Arsenal out, Obviously if Stoke do go through they'll be one step closer to the final, but I would rather that. On a more interesting note, Sol Campbell has impressed.
Matt Posted 24 January 2010 Author Posted 24 January 2010 On a more interesting note, Sol Campbell has impressed. Excellent counter argument.
dandannieldanok Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Just strange people want arguably the most exciting team in England to go out because they don't want a boring final. It's a strange logic to say the least but oh well.
lcfc_jme Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Oh come on.Some people on this foum get carried on the, "ZOMG I HATE MODERN FOOTBALL" thing. As if anyone wants to see Stoke instead of Arsenal in the FA Cup final. I do hate modern football, and don't get carried away enough. I also despise Stoke and love the way Arsenal play football, so it's a no-brainer as to who should win this game.. And it's not the red and white striped Nazi cunts from the Potteries.
Brainy Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Does Delap offer anything other than a long throw? Two poor bits of play from his just.
Matt Posted 24 January 2010 Author Posted 24 January 2010 Beautiful cross. Nah Stoke are rubbish, anti-football team. Maybe it's my anti-Arsenal tinted glasses but I honestly think Stoke have been better than Arsenal.
lou Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Nah Stoke are rubbish, anti-football team. Maybe it's my anti-Arsenal tinted glasses but I honestly think Stoke have been better than Arsenal. I agree (sorry Jamie!) I hate Stoke too but have to say if they win this its thoroughly deserved
Fox You Forest Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Does Delap offer anything other than a long throw? Two poor bits of play from his just. I was wondering that, it's not like he's that good a player in open play.
Tilley Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Man Utd, Liverpool and now potentially Arsenal out by the 5th round. Crazy.
Matt Posted 24 January 2010 Author Posted 24 January 2010 Hope Matt gets his dream Stoke v Bolton final. I'm sure i've stated I don't want Stoke in the final or to win the competition (Several times this afternoon), and where i've mentioned I wanted Bolton in the final I don't know.
Matt Posted 24 January 2010 Author Posted 24 January 2010 FUCK YOU ARSENAL. Hmmmm what's Wenger gonna moan about? Arsenal may be 'the best footballing side' (I don't see it personally) but does it win you competitions? Obviously not - When did Arsenal last win something?
Fosse Boy Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Unreal! EDIT: Handball Hope Matt gets his dream Stoke v Bolton final. Get off the wind up, it doesn't suit you.
Tilley Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Fair play Stoke. Wenger probably picked the wrong side for an away tie at Stoke. I'm sure he'll just be glad he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Villa, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool in the league.
lou Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Anyone left in the last 16 now must be fancying their chances of getting to Wembley
Brainy Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 I reckon this will just increase their chances of winning the PL. My Bolton reference... i'm just saying if you wanna see a side like Stoke go further than a good footballing side like Arsenal.. fine, I just thought you'd fancy a side like Bolton in the final too. Get off the wind up, it doesn't suit you. Sorry, do you know me?
Tilley Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Anyone left in the last 16 now must be fancying their chances of getting to Wembley I would say pick the final two from Man City, Villa and Chelsea, but Man City might find it tough at Scunny today and the FA Cup is quite unpredictable this year.
lildave3 Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Anyone left in the last 16 now must be fancying their chances of getting to Wembley Don't start AFIE off again And yes Stoke, bye Arsenal. Another year without a trophy.
lou Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 I would say pick the final two from Man City, Villa and Chelsea, but Man City might find it tough at Scunny today and the FA Cup is quite unpredictable this year. Id fancy Vila to get to the final and cant really see Chelsea going out but who knows the way its going! Don't start AFIE off again And yes Stoke, bye Arsenal. Another year without a trophy. lol
Tilley Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 Robinho didn't look very interested in the tunnel. If you believe SSN then he could be on his way to Santos.
