The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON

First Round Proper Draw

1pm Sunday 25 October 2009

Live on ITV1

Ties to be played 7 and 8 November 2009

Winning Clubs receive £18,000 from The FA's Prize Fund

This weekend The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON reaches its Fourth Round Qualifying stage, with 32 ties taking place up and down the country with the winners lining up a potential meeting with a Football League outfit in the First Round Proper.

And we don't have to wait long to see who will be facing who, for the First Round Draw is this Sunday lunchtime.

At 1pm on Sunday 25 October, you will be able to see the draw take place live on ITV1, with England's Ashes hero James Anderson and former England and Charlton Athletic defender Chris Powell making the draw for all 40 First Round ties.

And it's at this stage of the competition when the 48 clubs from League One and League Two enter the fray, including 2003 Finalists Southampton, who will be represented in the draw by ball number 40, and 2004 Finalists Millwall, ball number 29. A few former Premier League clubs are also present such as Charlton Athletic (12), Leeds United (25) and Norwich City (33).

To prepare for the draw so you know what number your team will be, we've listed the full draw numbers. The first 48 are based, alphabetically, on the clubs entering at this stage, followed by the 32 ties to be played on Saturday and Sunday.

Nice to see wins for Hinckley and Nuneaton today hopefully both will make it through to play the big clubs, Wouldn't mind Hinckley or Nuneaton to get drawn against Leeds tbh, and obviously Hinckley/Nuneaton to win.

Want Bath to do well in this (providing we won today!) - me and my mates are each following a Conference South team this season! Would be nice to go on a nice cup run!

Yes it is.

Looking forward to the draw tomorrow. The Cup is truly the greatest domestic competition on Earth.

It used to be, Like everything in football now I feel it has been ruined by money, TV rights, e.t.c and lost some of the glamour and enjoyment.

I know for fact people don't enjoy the F.A Cup as much as they did a few years ago.

Same here. That first Saturday in January is usually the day I look forward to the most in the season. It's special

I'd say the 3rd round draw is my favourite day

The only thing that ruins the FA Cup for me, is having the semi-finals at Wembley. :(:nono:

100% agree!

getting to Wembley should be saved for the finalists

Villa Park and Old Trafford for the semis

If we ever got to the semi-final again I'd want it to be played at Edgar Street, Hereford.

If I hear the words 'Number 68 at home to Number 30' I'm buying a train ticket to Kingston-on-Thames immediately.

I'm pretty sure the AFC fans would boycott the fixture if it was played at MK, the turnout would be awful at best.

Would much rather visit Kingsmeadow than that plastic bowl again anyway.

If AFC played Franchise at home, we should get a rollcall going. :D

Fuck a rollcall, let's see if we can get a Football Special put on for us down there!

If ever a 'this' can be justified, now is the time.
