calum_lcfc Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 I finally got my tickets given to me today in block Y2, was on football ground guide and found this Chris Powell a visiting West Brom fan adds; 'On my last visit a number of West Brom fans were thrown out of the grounds by stewards for not sitting down. From what I could see they gave just one chance to sit down and if you didn't you were out. What was even more annoying is that fans in the home section were allowed to stand without interference.' They better take exception to city fans as its a local derby as I do not fancy sitting down

Guest Bilo Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Thats a normal attendance for a game they don't care about.

When you hear "stand up if you hate direby" it'll probably be because the stewards are being annoying about it to A-block and it's Ablocks way of encouraging more standers. Also, there are rumours the stewards have been told to be extra harsh for this although how true it is is anybody's guess.
Daggers Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 On my honeymoon in florida, me and mrs singh went to hooters for a meal by accident!!! True story!! Hooters Caracas was stupid and pointless. The corporate dress standard meant that women wore more there than in any other bar in town - I mean, flesh coloured tights in the tropics? Which mentalist dreamed that one up? Made semi-decent margaritas though.

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Standers, for what it's worth, during the second League Cup match in 07, the stewards did the rounds trying to get as many people as possible to sit (I think this was about a third of the way up X2) and an alarming amount of people in front and to the side of me sat, but I cocked a deaf 'un and carried on watching the match and they didn't bother me again, so selective hearing might be the answer.
SantiagoFox Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Everyone seems pretty confident about being able to go to any pub they want....is there something i dont know, cause i can't imagine the police just letting loads of groups of Leicester fans wondering around Nottingham obviously we'll try and head for the Weatherspoons on the waterfront next to the train station, but i rekon the police will send us to the Notts County ground like before the carling cup games 2 years ago A word of warning - this spoons pub is where the English Defence League is meeting, although their demo by the Castle is not until about 2pm. There's also a counter demo by the UAF on Maid Marion way, and a march through town by the Mercian regiment. Let's hope we can all have a pint in peace!
Unit Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 i'm in z1 but seems like unless i get there early i aint getting my place . If police let us ill be at whetherspoons, if not, fook it, hooooters.
Lovejoy Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Missed the boat but have managed to secure tickets in the home end. Will do I suppose.
Ultra Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Yea, kind off. It's your best bet as it's the quietest bit of the ground but there still maybe the odd tosser about given it's probably going to be full of commodores (once, twice, three times a season.....hmhb). Not according to your website. It lists plenty of seats still available in that stand. Seems like your ticket office is like ours in overestimating tickets sold..
RedHux Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Excellent then, you go for it. That's always the stand that sells out last too, because of it's library status I suppose. The johnny come latelys always end up at the end closest to the away fans and they always, without fail seem to make up for their lack of support throughout the rest of the season by acting like die hard halfwits. So if it does sell out you may find yourself surrounded by the armchair A-block They annoy me.
C-man Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Finally found out that were in X2. Row K. Might be alright there I suppose, we'll have to see what the chats like.
calum_lcfc Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 I have been roped in for driving for this one can anyone suggest good places to park?
Sods Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 Buzzing already, 2 of my flat mates at uni are Forest fans. So this is massive.
Joe. Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 Finally found out that were in X2. Row K. Might be alright there I suppose, we'll have to see what the chats like. Me and Ched are X2, row Z. Did we establish that Z was the back or not?
