Matt Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Was looking at this the other day was going to post about it. £35 not that expensive was expecting it to be £40 at cheapest, As Daggers said it might and hopefully is even cheaper at Amazon, and didn't HMV sell the DVD's cheaper? I've always been to eager to get the DVD's and paid silly prices so might be abit more patient this time and wait to see if it's on Amazon, HMV, e.t.c.
Daggers Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Where does one buy volumes 1 and 2? Why? This will have the same info - but more.
PAULCFC Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Got the first and second editions.Just ordered this one too.If you pre order you can have your name printed in it too.
Ozwin Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Oh right, I thought they did them every 50 years or something.
Bluefoxtim Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leicester-City-Upd...1514&sr=8-2 Not heard about this before ^
Daggers Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leicester-City-Upd...1514&sr=8-2Not heard about this before ^ I'm waiting for the 130 years celebratory one, it's going to be far better.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leicester-City-Upd...1514&sr=8-2Not heard about this before ^ If you have the 120 history DVD DO NOT BUY THE 125 DVD It is EXACTLY the same as the 120 one, except for a half-arsed, 12 minute 2002-2009 chapter, of which 3 or so minutes is taken up by us beating Spurs in 06. There is about 30 seconds of 07-08 and about 2 minutes on last season, before some verbal wanking over Pearson. On the book Does anyone know, if you pre-order the history book do you have to pay for it now?

I wasn't planning to but thanks the for the heads up Obviously the 120 year was a total cash in considering it's no landmark at all apart from having a nice round number.
Ozwin Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 So what exactly is it? A book full of stats and photos from the beggining of time, ahem, 1884?
MC Prussian Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 I have the previous version and wonder whether they'll get rid of that paper-wrap style for the 3rd edition. Also, the cover looks a bit poor - one could assume with the 125-year anniversary, they'd put a little bit more effort in club-related publications, too.
Bluefoxtim Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Any news on this? I thought it was meant to be available in August?
Matt Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Any news on this? I thought it was meant to be available in August? I e-mailed the shop the other day and got a reply saying there was a problem at the printers, out of the clubs hands but apologise. No doubt it had already gone to press when Pearson was still manager? Then they had to change it maybe?

No doubt it had already gone to press when Pearson was still manager? Then they had to change it maybe? You're probably right. I got a letter through the post today saying to expect it by the end of September. Out of the 5 or so lines of text, 3 made sense. Quite an achievement? The first letter confirming the order had lots of mistakes and even called the book 'Fossils of Foxes'. We then had certificates (!) sent out and these had to be reprinted as they had spelling errors. Ben Swift of LCFC Direct - must try harder!
Ultra Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 The letter I had referred to "printing issues". I wonder whether they had to update the book to include the change of management and the takeover?
