davieG Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 http://www.lfconline.com/news/TMNW/youth_c...777/index.shtml Liverpool have been drawn against Leicester in the FA Youth Cup. The Reds have an away game against Leicester City in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup. The tie is a difficult one as the Foxes have yet to lose an under 18's game all season and beat Liverpool under 18's 3-0 earlier in the campaign. No date has yet been set for the match.

davieG Posted 11 December 2009 Author Posted 11 December 2009 Oooo hope its not behind closed doors or clashing with an away game.. Im deffo going to this if it doesnt! They should play at the Walkers like they did for one of the Cup games last year or was it the year before. And make it FREE entry!
Fosse Boy Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 They should play at the Walkers like they did for one of the Cup games last year or was it the year before. And make it FREE entry! I thought it was in the rules that you had to play Youth Cup games in the stadium of the home club. Or am I wrong there?
davieG Posted 11 December 2009 Author Posted 11 December 2009 I thought it was in the rules that you had to play Youth Cup games in the stadium of the home club. Or am I wrong there? You could be correct, we got knocked out early last time.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 VERY excited at this news EDIT: SHIT, according the the FA.com website the provisional date is 19:00 on the 16th Jan, which is Swansea away Any chance they'll re-arrange it to the Monday night or something, especially if both first teams are playing that day... or do they not care about that?
lou Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 I thought it was in the rules that you had to play Youth Cup games in the stadium of the home club. Or am I wrong there? Yeah I do think youre right! Last year was a disappointment getting knocked out so early... my Sons friend was playing left back the last couple of years and was part of the squad that won the thing at Sunderland , as was Gradel who grabbed my m8s flag to celebrate with. We were the only City fans there bar the bloody relatives (that I could see anyway!) Surrounded by ginger haired Mackems Would love to get to the final again.

It's normally the week either side of that Saturday. No way will they play on that date.
Fosse Boy Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 If it's the week prior to that I might be able to make it to that depending on work.
Ultra Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 Yeah I do think youre right! FantasticMrFuchs Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 The young 'uns was 1-1,Not sure on the other score Watford scored late on in the 2nd half.

Ford Super Sunday Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1902758,00.html Why can't they play it on the Monday night of that week? Would it be so hard? Both teams will be playing that day, us at Swansea and Liverpool at Stoke. I really wanted to go as well... I ust hope the word 'scheduled' is important and they do re-arrange it!
Ultra Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 The young 'uns was 1-1,Not sure on the other score Watford scored late on in the 2nd half. Still no reference to this on the official site. According to the Premier League site, we're EIGHT points clear at the top of our group going into the winter break.

It's very odd for them to play Yoof Cup on Saturday's because of the league fixtures. And normally cos of the schedules and ages....they like to keep the schedule pretty much as per the original list. AFAIK: We're due to play Reading Yoof on that date in the league according to the OS.
CosbehFox Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 Tuesday 12th, 7pm. On OS. £3 adults, £1 everyone else.
lou Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 I think Thracian was there as well.. Shit! We could have car shared!

CosbehFox Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 If we draw with Swansea in the cup, the replay is likely to be on that date! Wouldn't mind me, just bother with the league game.
Webbo Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 According to the moan in there will be 2000 free of charge tickets available to STHs on a first come first served basis for this match.

Excellent, even more incentive to turn up early and pitch a tent! I'll keep checking LFC TV, they generally show all things Liverpool, even academy stuff. Channel 434 for those who have a Sky box. Free to air too, so there's no subscription or packages. It might be live, there might be highlights, I'll keep looking at the listings.
haraven Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 I keep hearing good stuff about our youths. 14 matches, 12 wins and 2 draws from Rudkin's boys is pretty impressive. We got an up and coming "fleet" of homebred stars here?
