Fosse Boy Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Will try and rope someone into going to this with me (if work commitments don't get in my way).

Guest Bilo Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Will be showing my face for this one I reckon. Should be a decent game.
Bluefoxtim Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 I would have gone but need all the time I can get for revision
C-man Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Somebody say free? I'm game. I'm down too. Even if it's not free it's hardly bad pricing!
Lillehamring Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 pretty sure we will lose this - it's just meant to be, with our record and the bumper crowd, it's bound to go wrong
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 pretty sure we will lose this - it's just meant to be, with our record and the bumper crowd, it's bound to go wrong Disagree - We already beat them 3-0 at their place. I imagine with a crowd urging them on a nice 4 or 5-0 win could be on the cards. I imagine it would be quite a long time ago that a Leicester team beat a Liverpool team by that amount even if it is the youth team. As a side note does anybody know if there are any outstanding individuals in the team or are they just a good unit together?

How can you make a statement like that when you don't seem to know any of the players
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 How can you make a statement like that when you don't seem to know any of the players Ermm just by the statistics of 12 wins and 2 draws in 14 games and the fact they have already won 3-0 away. Seems perfectly logical to me. I know the players names but have not seem them which was why I asked the question. Are you being pedantic for a reason? You could have chosen Valerengas post for the same treatment but didn't perhaps because his was more pessimistic than mine yet no less speculative
lou Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Im going anyway but have just sent my begging email for free tickets Im hoping to progress further than last season! PS Thanks Bert for the info!

You could have chosen Valerengas post for the same treatment but didn't perhaps because his was more pessimistic than mine yet no less speculative It's a bit different to say we're going to lose to predicting a 5-0 win and he didn't ask who the players were. Just seemed a bit odd to make such a prediction when you've seem to know very little about them. Stats mean very little when it comes to Cup games, when LCFC won the youth Academy League the other year they got knocked out of this in the first round. But you're right I am being pedantic, oh and Vålerenga's my son so I'm biased as well as genetically pessimistic

You could have chosen Valerengas post for the same treatment but didn't perhaps because his was more pessimistic than mine yet no less speculative the difference is that my post was just a silly bit of facetious skepticism whereas yours was bizarre unconsidered gushing. this is NOT a league game, we came unstuck early in the cup last year, liverpool are no doubt a half decent team looking for revenge for a thumping. it is quite common for a team on a good run to come unstuck when the circumstances change - this being a cup competition, at the walkers in front of a bumper crowd, as i see it, has 'change of fortune' written all over it - your 'logic' on this occasion goes out of the window for a game like this.

If you look at stats I am sure you will find that you are wrong and that it is not actually common at all though it does happen. As 'you see it' is no less speculative than my optimistic speculation 'as I see it'. Ifs, buts, maybes and opinions eh?
MPH Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 looking forward to this indeed! some of my mates are wimps and worried about the cold.... but heppy to be there on my own... this will be a good game to see the young lads in - semi big crowed at the full stadium... floodlights, ect...
Katy Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Myself and Fez should be going to this. I really enjoy watching the youngsters on a Saturday morning so really looking forward to this one. If they could just get into gear from the off instead of being a second half side then we could be in with a chance. Really impressed with them though, I haven't seen them lose yet
