Leicester City season ticket holders have the opportunity to see the future stars of the club for FREE as the Foxes take on Liverpool in the FA Youth Cup sponsored by E.ON Fourth Round at the Walkers Stadium on Tuesday, January 12 at 7pm.

City's academy side have been in sensational form this season, riding high at the top of the U-18 Premier Academy League Group B, unbeaten after 14 games, winning 12 and drawing just two.

Academy Manager Jon Rudkin will be hoping for more of the same from his young charges for the visit of the Reds in front of a big Walkers Stadium crowd.

City have already faced Liverpool once this season, triumphing 3-0 with highly rated academy stars Tom Parkes, Cian Bolger and Elliott Chamberlain all on the scoresheet.

Liverpool themselves will be eager to go one step further in a competition. Last season they lost to winners Arsenal in the two-legged Final 6-2 on aggregate.

The match will see a host of youth internationals turning out for both sides. Leicester and Liverpool can boast the likes of Gary Lineker, Emile Heskey, Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher as previous successful graduates of their academy set-ups.

Will the next Leicester City, Liverpool or future international superstar be on show next Tuesday evening?

Season ticket holders will be required to quote their unique client reference number when claiming their free ticket. 2,000 tickets are available on a first come first served basis, one per season ticket holder.

pretty sure we will lose this - it's just meant to be, with our record and the bumper crowd, it's bound to go wrong :(

Disagree - We already beat them 3-0 at their place. I imagine with a crowd urging them on a nice 4 or 5-0 win could be on the cards. I imagine it would be quite a long time ago that a Leicester team beat a Liverpool team by that amount even if it is the youth team.

As a side note does anybody know if there are any outstanding individuals in the team or are they just a good unit together?

How can you make a statement like that when you don't seem to know any of the players :dunno:

Ermm just by the statistics of 12 wins and 2 draws in 14 games and the fact they have already won 3-0 away. Seems perfectly logical to me. I know the players names but have not seem them which was why I asked the question. Are you being pedantic for a reason? You could have chosen Valerengas post for the same treatment but didn't perhaps because his was more pessimistic than mine yet no less speculative :glare:

It's a bit different to say we're going to lose to predicting a 5-0 win and he didn't ask who the players were. Just seemed a bit odd to make such a prediction when you've seem to know very little about them. :dunno:

Stats mean very little when it comes to Cup games, when LCFC won the youth Academy League the other year they got knocked out of this in the first round.

But you're right I am being pedantic, oh and Vålerenga's my son so I'm biased as well as genetically pessimistic :P

the difference is that my post was just a silly bit of facetious skepticism whereas yours was bizarre unconsidered gushing.

this is NOT a league game, we came unstuck early in the cup last year, liverpool are no doubt a half decent team looking for revenge for a thumping.

it is quite common for a team on a good run to come unstuck when the circumstances change - this being a cup competition, at the walkers in front of a bumper crowd, as i see it, has 'change of fortune' written all over it - your 'logic' on this occasion goes out of the window for a game like this.

If you look at stats I am sure you will find that you are wrong and that it is not actually common at all though it does happen. As 'you see it' is no less speculative than my optimistic speculation 'as I see it'. Ifs, buts, maybes and opinions eh?

Myself and Fez should be going to this. I really enjoy watching the youngsters on a Saturday morning so really looking forward to this one. If they could just get into gear from the off instead of being a second half side then we could be in with a chance. Really impressed with them though, I haven't seen them lose yet :fc:

Of course haha, the fingers crossed smilie negates any bad luck I may have placed on them. So if they do lose, it's not my fault. :D
