Budweiser Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 I'm sure you know one who could have aquired a ticket for you but I suppose watching LFC's highlights package will be much more informative. You need to lighten up a bit mate. Same as the other thread.
NorthernFox Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 If not able to get to the game you can buy a months viewing from LFC for £2.99 I think. Liverpool FC
Sparky Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Just checked on my sky and LFCTV is free so ill stay away from result and watch from 10. I been out in the bloody cold all day so not even gonna entertain the idea of going down.
Dylan Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Does anyone know anywhere I can follow the score online? ...

Edmund Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Just checked on my sky and LFCTV is free Like wise. Thought it was part of the ESPN package. Will catch the highlights later.
fantastic_mr_fox Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 I wouldn't bother if I were you - it's 0-4
milan_foxes Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Just got back, they had 2 early chances and scored them both. Apart from that in the early stages of the first half they didnt do much... Compared to us. We looked all over them tbh, I think Adi Yussef hit the crossbar. Jorrin John looked quite good on that right wing. We started pourly in the 2nd half and thy just piled on the pressure and finished it off. Dont have a clue how the scoring went, I lost count. But out of everyone, Jorrin John looked good on that right side (mr pearson... we need one of those!) Adi Yussef up front, and George Taft at Right Backdid a better job than ive seen Neilson do. Also the set-piece taker did a better job than Oakley does. Well done to the Liverpool fans that came down ! Unlucky City.
Tony Pine Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 well letting in 4 (or was it 3...so many i lost count)goals in half an hour usually doesn't help when you're one on one with acres of space and the keeper is past the penalty spot and half on his arse and u choose to shoot at him rather than take it round doesn't help either. if we had got back to 4-2 with 25 minutes to go and we had the momentum..might have been in with a shot. taft needs to stay of the pies
eleven points Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Deary me. What happened? Ref was aweful, take it they are leniant in youth football? Defensively we were very naive and we got tore apart on the counter, Bolger and Parkes looked good individually but as a unit our defense was shocking; second half was alright, but Liverpool were sitting on a 4-0 so hardly going for the 5th. Thought Yussuf looked good as did John, and our number 4 dunno his name. You could tell we were a good side though, despite our shocking defending of their counter attacks the score definitely flattered Liverpool. We hit the woodwork 3 times and Chamberlain should of scored a 1 on 1, if it wasn't 4-1 at the time he probably would of. All in all I think we didn't handle the pressure well enough, which you've got to do if you want to make it as a pro. Hopefully these lads will learn from this because some of them definitely have a good future in the game.
Tony Pine Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 that dalle valle the number 10 was quality and their wannabe gerrard was a dirty little shitbag chamberlain had a shocker. although the repeated high/long balls to him weren't the best idea
Bert Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Ben Milne was outstanding in the centre of the park for us tonight. Jorrin John and Adi Yussef stood out as well. The difference tonight was clinical finishing. Their first was a quality header which left the keeper with no chance. FRor the second Ambrusics was at fault and their goal poacher had the simple task of putting the ball away. We got a strong foothold on the game after this but just couldn't score, we were either trying to pass it in the net, or do too much. Even when Yussef did beat the keeper, the post intervened. They broke away and scored a third and a fourth, and the game was as good as over then. The game faded a bit in the second half, as did the temperature and even though we pulled one back it was never going to be enough with 20 odd minutes remaining. They bagged a 5th late on to seal the win. The result flattered them a little bit to be fair. we hit the post twice and the bar tonight, it just wasn't meant to be.
C-man Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 One of the most bizarre results in relation to the pattern of play that I'll ever see. Liverpool scored with their first 3 attacks, despite Leicester dominating both territory and possession. A swift counter-attack ending with a wonderful cross and then brilliant header by Laurie Dalla Valle gave the Finnish striker his first after 2 minutes before a fumble by Ambrusics gave him a second. Adi Yussuf was sensational up front in the first half and hit the post and then the bar at 2-0 down. If either had gone in then it may have been a different game. A mistake from George Taft gifted Liverpool a third, scored by Paul Ince's son Thomas and Dalla Valle completed his hat-trick around the half hour mark with another counter-attack. So 4-0 down at half-time and I was actually impressed with some of the play from the front four of John, Chamberlain, Yussuf and Hobin, as well as the tidy midfield play of Ben Milne. It was Milne who hit the woodwork for the 3rd time in the second half before Yussuf bundled in a deserved goal on 66 minutes. If Elliot Chamberlain had finished when one-on-one with goalkeeper Deale Chamberlain two minutes later we might have pushed them to the end. Instead, they saw it out comfortably and netted a 5th through the dogshit Michael Ngoo. Disappointed to be out but it was a lot more heartening than the first teams efforts in the last 5-1 I witnessed.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Still cannot believe some people booed at half time
Edmund Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Still cannot believe some people booed at half time Please tell me this is a joke?
Sparky Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Still cannot believe some people booed at half time Your joking I suppose its good experience for when they are getting booed in the 1st team
Guest Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 I am waiting for the facebook group to be set up.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Please tell me this is a joke? I kid you not, they weren't hefty deep boos, but you could definitely hear them from where I was sitting, I hope I was imagining it, but i'm sure I wasn't. I actually couldn't believe people were booing our youngsters. I am waiting for the facebook group to be set up. 'Leicester academy players you try hard but you aint good enough for LCFC, going unbeaten is unacceptable'
C-man Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 I thought I heard a couple of boos but concluded I was imagining it.
teblin Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Ben Milne was outstanding in the centre of the park for us tonight. Jorrin John and Adi Yussef stood out as well. Was he number 4? If so i was impressed too. I was impressed by Yussef fast , good control and strong. Would be woth a spot on the bench for the first team.
