They have classis Liverpool action listed on the 12th. Waiting on their future listings for any highlights. But unless they change the schedule, it won't be live, which is a shame :(

Yeah it is. Would like to watch it but wont be going down in sub zero conditions

So can we just turn up with our season tickets on the night?

No.

It's only the first 2000 and you have to email (with your reference number etc) and they'll send it out to you or go to the ticket office in person.

Maybe their OS/Service is just as bad as ours.

:fc: Here's hoping anyway.

Hmmm. I'd like to go, but I won't feel like it if it's freezing next Tuesday. If I apply for a ticket and then don't go I'm depriving somebody else. :dunno:

You could always get them and give them away if you dont wanna go in the end?

I emailed them earlier and they are sending two tickets to me. Should be good if the weather doesn't take over.

It may or may not please people, but Lisa shall be in attendance for this footballing extravaganza.

My tickets have just arrived today as well, I shall send them back and demand compensation for the stress this has caused.

In regards to whether this will be shown on LFC TV on Sky, I e-mailed them, this is the reply I recieved;

Dear Matt,

Thank you for your email.

The Academy game will be shown Live on the web only through the e-Season ticket. The game will be available in full on LFCTV at 10.00pm that night.

If you require further information, please reply to this message and we will be pleased to assist. Please include the original emails with your reply.

Kind Regards,

Andrea Shaw

I guess the e-Season ticket is something you have to pay for? :dunno:

But it will be shown at 10pm next Tuesday free on LFC TV anyway

It's listed on the Sky EPG listings :scarf:

It's also repeated at 12pm on the Wednesday

EDIT: Just to ask, if it finishes a draw after 90 minutes, do they have extra time, or do they go straight to penalties?

For anyone who hasn't seen them before and is expecting them to steamroller Liverpool, I'd sound a word of caution. They have an incredible winning mentality but sometimes they can play extremely poorly. There are times this season (first half vs Tottenham and first half vs Coventry in the FA Youth Cup, as well as the majority of the game against MK Dons, all of which they won) when they haven't looked great at all. Against Coventry in particular, you wondered how they were unbeaten all season. Then they stepped it up second half and made sure they won as usual. When they do play well, they are so exciting to watch because of the pace out wide and up front.

The players to watch are centre-back and captain Tom Parkes, who will play for the first team in the near future without a doubt, right-winger Jorrin John who often moves inside when they need to chase a game and Jeffrey Schlupp, a left winger who is only just 17 I believe. He is lightning quick and can play up front when needed. The strengths of the side when everyone plays are the centre-backs, wingers and strikers (Parkes and Bolger at the back, Schlupp and John out wide and Chamberlain and Yussuff up front). Ben Milnes is an important part of the team in the middle of the park but I can't ever see him making it at first team level with City.

The central midfield is often a bit of a patchup job depending on who's available. At various times this season I've seen Ben Milnes partnered by Nathan Hicks, Craig King (now on loan at Hereford), Jorrin John, Luke O'Neill, Liam Moore (first choice right back, can play centre back) and Ollie Norburn. Personally I think Norburn is the pick of that bunch other than King, but he doesn't play as often as I think he should. Hicks will probably start, I'd imagine. He's more inconsistent in my opinion but weighs in with some important goals.

At full strength the team is usually: Ambrusics, Moore, Taft, Bolger, Parkes, Schlupp, John, Milnes, Hicks, Yussuff, Chamberlain.

Any variations on that and you'll know we're not quite at full strength although Luke O'Neill played recently so he might be involved.

By all accounts, Jorrin John ran the show at Liverpool in the league game at their place so don't be surprised if they pay extra attention to him.

I really hope they perform well because there's no more than 50 people down the Academy for the majority of games (more like 100 when Arsenal came which is the most I've seen down there this season) and I hope they don't leave a bigger crowd wondering what all the fuss is about.

Really looking forward to it.

NP naming him on the bench on the last outing must have done him the world of good. Must have a great chance of being part of his plans for the future.

Yeah I was really pleased to see him on the bench. I don't think he would disgrace himself if he has to play at any point soon, but centre-back is probably the hardest outfield position to slot into from youth level.
