StanSP Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Been an absolutely perfect day - last night went off without a hitch, thought it was the most incredible feeling, until five minutes later. Come late summer there'll be a new addition to our little family. We've been trying for a few months now - she's two weeks gone. Going round to my parents to break both pieces of news and hearing my girlfriend's grandmother scream down the phone from Iceland with joy were fantastic. Can't quite describe the high I'm on right now. Chuffed I've locked the missus down though - it's been years since we got together but this is the clincher. Done well for myself. Bring on the dirty nappies and sleepless nights. Can't wait. Hope everyone else has had a brilliant Christmas with their loved ones, doing whatever the **** they want to. As Champ Kind would say in Anchorman... Awesome news mate! Congratulations
Langston Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Cheers everyone. Not been the best year for her (she lost her dad in April) but she's on cloud nine now, and there's no chance I'll sleep tonight, incredible feeling. Makes sense to cap Christmas off the same way I have since I was an eighteen year old student who could barely scrap together enough pennies to go out over the festive period. A bottle of Morgan's Spiced and Football Manager. Not wild by any means, but a little tradition.

The People's Hero Posted 24 December 2012 Posted 24 December 2012 Merry Christmas one and all from Maidstone. All the best to all of you and yours (including our visitors from Cardiff, Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday and Watford)
Zingari Posted 24 December 2012 Posted 24 December 2012 Blimey is this the official Xmas thread ? I've been posting in the unofficial one. Does my well-wishing to all still count ?
Alexikokopops Posted 24 December 2012 Posted 24 December 2012 Kevin Poole ha a soft spot for the humble jam tart. Home made of course, the man's a jam tart snob. Feed him 2-3 and then rub his belly and he's all yours. I know I shouldn't laugh at my own posts but the image of feeding Kevin Poole jam tarts and rubbing his belly is just too much. Where did it all go so wrong? We've grown up and got actual stuff to do. More's the pity. It was a noble playground. Halcyon days my friend, halcyon days.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 December 2012 Posted 24 December 2012 Parents and Uncle coming round ours for dinner this evening, then off to the pub with my missis, my best mate and his missis for a couple. It doesn't seem like Christmas at all Have a good one everyone
