James. Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 I'm confused. Am I allowed to laugh at this or will the Adebayor Defence League come and get me?
lou Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 I'm confused. Am I allowed to laugh at this or will the Adebayor Defence League come and get me? I dont have any issue with anyone laughing... I just thought calling him an idiot etc was harsh considering what hed just been through I dont even like him to be fair Im a big softie I cant help it.
Edmund Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 I just thought calling him an idiot etc was harsh considering what hed just been through Exactly, people close to him have been horrifically murdered in front of him not to mention the gunmen were intent on killing anyone so it could've been him, I don't think what shirt he's wearing bears any importance. I'm surprised people are overlooking this so easily. Fuck what shirt he's wearing, footballs not important at times like this, people have brutally lost their lives.

I'm sure when Ade re-watches that interview he'll laugh at himself. I know I would, even in those circumstances.
acooling08 Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 You can't compare Muzzy to Adebayor. Muzzy was a proper loyal player who stayed with us for about 7/8 years. Adebayor was at Arsenal for a few years and leaves for Man City for money and takes the piss out of the Arsenal fans when he scores.
Edmund Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 I'm sure when Ade re-watches that interview he'll laugh at himself. I know I would, even in those circumstances. I'm sure he will. Don't get me wrong I thought it was bizarre when I first saw it but then I forgot about what might be going through his mind at present so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Also your point about Arsenal being loved in Africa is so true. I remember on that Ross Kemp Pirate special, all the Nigerian and Somalian Pirates wore Arsenal shirts on the boats. It was pretty surreal.
Head Honcho Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 I'm sure when Ade re-watches that interview he'll laugh at himself. I know I would, even in those circumstances. No one doubts that it's funny or slightly amusing but for words like plank, idiot, fool and numpty to be bandied around is just a little insensitive considering the ordeal he's had. Don't you think?

Don't you think? What about if you're calling him a plank for packing it in the first place, before the tragedy occurred, and not because he wore it in the interview? Is that approved by the ADL?
Edmund Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 What about if you're calling him a plank for packing it in the first place He's from Togo, the interview was in Togo. He most probably got it from his house.
Sparky Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 He's from Togo, the interview was in Togo. He most probably got it from his house. Thats if he has a house there, wouldnt be suprised if he just stopped in hotels

I just think he was a silly sausage and whacked it in his suitcase when he was packing for Angola.
lou Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 None of us know whether he packed it, borrowed it or nicked it off a passing Arsenal fan so the whole argument is a bit irrelevant really
Edmund Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 Thats if he has a house there, wouldnt be suprised if he just stopped in hotels I'd be very surprised if someone on his wages didn't have a house in his home nation. You're forgetting his relatives and family will be based there and no doubt he stays with them if he doesn't have his own pad. I highly doubt he stays in hotels throughout his visits back. Someone of his wealth would help fund the family back home and I bet his close relatives are well off if they are still based in Togo.

Or the team/backroom staff could all be staying together in this difficult time. Or because his parents are Nigerian and he was just born in Togo his family might live in Nigeria. Either way we're all completely speculating and none of us have any idea at all.

You dont know, i dont know. The national squad i would imagine would stay together once everyone arrives from Europe but who knows.

Sparky Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 Bloody typical man, blame the nearest female I did not! Kokopops did! He mentioned packing! Thats rule number 1
lou Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 Thats rule number 1 haha not in our house it isnt! Youll know if you ever meet my other half, hes the one with the very haunted expression
leicesterfox86 Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 that's what happens when men do their own packing. What a numpty. I'm sure his bosses and the Man City fans won't be too pleased to see that. They will not! Imagine if one of our new signings appeared on SKy Sports with another teams top on?! I had to do a double take when I saw it.

Fair enough but sparky their not all based in Europe Anyway you have to look back and laugh at this thread, how were arguing over where the shirt came from. Where's Radovan when you need him.
