Tevez Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 Ronnie BBC I player Disrespectful? Not sure, but he's keeping the game worth watching!
dandannieldanok Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 No not disrespectful, he's done it before a few times and a few others have too, nobody really takes much notice. It was a cracking shot btw and a really brilliant match. I watched it all the way through and the way Ronnie came back from 3-0 down was breathtaking.
StanSP Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 Nah not disrespectful. Just a bit of excitement (?). Something to liven proceedings. Robertson didn't look like he minded anyway.
Fosse Boy Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 Not really disrespectful at all. Just a bit of showmanship from undoubtedly the most talented player of his generation.
maddog Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 Ronnie. Especially in his interview straight after the game, legend.
Uncle Albert Posted 14 January 2010 Posted 14 January 2010 He is possibly the only reason I watch snooker at the minute, the only matches I will watch are his and Selby's. Mark Selby v Ding was a brilliant performance and O'Sullivan's comeback was even better, his interview after wasnt bad either.

Me too, seems most snooker players have no personality, or maybe they're getting media training like all the premiership robots.
Bryn Posted 14 January 2010 Posted 14 January 2010 Nah nothing wrong with that, bit cheeky but the frame was wrapped up, I think he basically couldn't be arsed to get the rest and so decided not to waste his opponents time.
dandannieldanok Posted 14 January 2010 Posted 14 January 2010 Me too, seems most snooker players have no personality, or maybe they're getting media training like all the premiership robots. I don't think the sport really allows for exuberant personalities to be brought right to the fore. I'm sure most of the players do have personalities but how are you supposed to show them in a match?
dandannieldanok Posted 14 January 2010 Posted 14 January 2010 Ronnie on very good form today. The bloke is a genius in the balls, some of the players can barely hold the cue with their opposite hand but Ronnie can play so good with his left you just don't notice him doing it.

dandannieldanok Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Me too, seems most snooker players have no personality, or maybe they're getting media training like all the premiership robots. You watching tonight Ron? Plenty of personality shown out there, especially considering it is such an intense match.
Matt Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 You watching tonight Ron? Plenty of personality shown out there, especially considering it is such an intense match. Selby through to the Semi's. Very entertaining match, and plenty of fun and personality shown between Selby and Allen. Thought i'd be a breeze for Selby when he went 3-0 up but Allen came back I thought he'd win it, but went down to a deciding frame and Selby did very well. Makes me sick how easy they make it look!
Matt Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Selby through to the final v Ronnie O'Sullivan tomorrow. Just beat Stephen Maguire 6-3. Maguire did make a break of 140, and I thought i'd be tough from there on but Selby came back and played great. Selby reaching his 3rd Masters final in a row
dandannieldanok Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 I fancy Selby today, he's looking back to his best. O'Sullivan looks very decent too but his heart isn't in it, Selby just needs a good start to put the pressure on right away.

Matt Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Is that the first session finished? How did it finish? I was watching the football on TV with the snooker the stream via the BBC site on my laptop, but missed the end of the last frame, looked like Ronnie was winning well though, so has the first session finished 5-3 to Ronnie? Selby's good, but I think Ronnie is too much for him, Once Ronnie gets on the table he doesn't tend to make mistakes, Selby makes the odd mistake and in the games he's played so far through this tournament his opponents have made mistakes which have led to Selby then clearing up. It's still gonna be tight in tonight's session, Really hope Selby does pull level and go on to win, but Ronnie although looks disinterested alot of the time he is exceptionally good.

Yeah Ronnie leads 5-3. Selby missed a easy yellow and should have gone on to level it.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 errr wasnt that my point?. Ronnie is a rare breed. I was talking about the Selby-Allen match and referring to you as Ron and not Ronnie O'Sullivan.............think we've got our wires crossed.

Matt Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Mid-session interval. Ronnie leading 7-5. Shame, Selby looked like he was on a come back but didn't quite manage it. Seems to be the way though, that Selby comes back to almost level the game and then not quite got the distance to level it.
Matt Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Stuggle to see Selby coming back now, Looking like O'Sullivan's gonna make it 9-6, Ronnie needs 1 more frame to win, Selby needs to win 3 frames in a row to even draw level, so to win needs to win 4 in a row. Hopefully i'll have jinxed O'Sullivans luck now
