Kilworthfox Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Hi I have been sent a message on Facebook, looks like something is being planned in protest of a LCFC season Ticket holder, who has been sent to prison for 2 years for breaking a camera of a traffic wardon. Facebook group
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Are we trying to bring back Live & Kicking on saturday mornings!
Kilworthfox Posted 28 January 2010 Author Posted 28 January 2010 Are we trying to bring back Live & Kicking on saturday mornings! Dude thats really not cool! <_<
Daggers Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Dude thats really not cool! <_< Sorry Tom, Why should I give a toss about another bloke who failed to park legally and believes the world should revolve around him? His previous includes a public order offence and his parents say "It was a moment of blind rage". He's not sounding like Mary Poppins. Solution: If he doesn't believe his sentence is just then he lodges an appeal - that's the way the law works. That and not parking illegally or being susceptible to moments of blind rage. In incidents like this I don't swallow the argument that his sentence is too harsh, it's just that there's others which I believe are too light. That and I fucking hate wank Facebook campaigns.

To a point I agree, & everyone has their opinions & rightly so we live in a country where crimes have punishments, but protest can be a successful tool against overly severe punishments, as you know.
AoWW Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Er, am I missing the point... what the fook's it got to do with football? So he's an LCFC season ticket holder - so are many, many other people who've had (arguably) unjust events happen to them. Have they all organised a protest at the Walkers? No, thought not.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 can't wait to see that fall flat on its arse. Though being in the kop, I don't think i'll notice all 300 of them. Ridiculous thing, let's find someone else who got an 'unjust' sentence and is a Leicester fan and protest for him
Daggers Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 I'm with Fi - I don't buy into it at all. If it had been for some trumped up thing occuring at a match I'd understand - or if there was more information in the public domain - but it didn't and there isn't. Maybe he loves his Mum, maybe he helps lame ducks to ponds, I don't know. And nor do most of L and K: so this protest is as wank as RIP comments in a death thread.

Can I have a protest, please?
Ford Super Sunday Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 I was once sold a dodgy egg sandwich. Can I have a protest, please? Facebook campaign coming up. But wait? Did you trash something of the person who sold you the sandwich? If not then you've got no chance.
Houdini Logic Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 When the find the kids under my patio I hope I have everyone's support? I'm like a proper fan - L block and everything...
Daggers Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 I was once sold a dodgy egg sandwich. Can I have a protest, please? Someone stole my Optimistic Bus (and now see what's happened) - I demand damages. Twitter campaign - go!
AoWW Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Facebook campaign coming up.But wait? Did you trash something of the person who sold you the sandwich? If not then you've got no chance. Hmmm, no, I probably put it down to one of those 'shit happens' moments and moved on with my life. I can see how throwing my toys outta my pram would have helped though. Damn. Someone stole my Optimistic Bus (and now see what's happened) - I demand damages.Twitter campaign - go! It wasn't your bus - it was Geo V's. I rescued it.
Daggers Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 It wasn't your bus - it was Geo V's. I rescued it. Save it for the journalists who will be hunting you out after Twitter kicks your arse.

Unit Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 2 years is harsh as fook, but at the same time, don't break other peoples stuff... it's one of them annoying things, my mate got 9 months for nicking a burger but got released after 3 weeks.

What's funny is he took a bite from the guy's burger and his friend battered the guy who had the burger. The police didn't want to know the guy who committed the assault, just him. According the Metro Saw him before xmas in town. He said it was wicked in prison haha. Has he gone back?

Finnegan Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Fucking hate people that give unncessary abuse to traffic wardens. Also hate people that react violently to most incidents but particularly those like this.

His previous includes a public order offence and his parents say "It was a moment of blind rage". He's not sounding like Mary Poppins. quote] Three years for a teenaged rapist, two years for breaking a traffic warden's camera. Sounds about par for Brown's Britain to me. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/...-is-jailed.html Peaceful protest? They'll get as far as the Leicester City market traders did with their bid to prevent a new market starting at The Walkers. Waste of time and effort. Traffic Wardens are so revered under New Labour I think it's only a matter of time before they turn up in the Honours List for services rendered in the irritation of anyone who owns a car and thinks they can park anywhere for any time without being shafted for a few quid. As for the notion that "previous" should be of any consequence, it doesn't seem to matter much with a whole series of murderers, child cruelty specialists, wife beaters or hate mongers. If they're poor, foreign or druggies they'll be treated with lenience at the earliest opportunity. If they're in a job and drive a car they're fair game for the jackboot Marxists who believe that anyone who shows any signs of having more than the poor and disadvantaged should be robbed.

The day people listen to someone who openly drink drives is the day this country has really gone to pot. This is a ridiculous idea of a protest. There are courses of action to take if you don't like a parking ticket etc etc - not to get angry and smash something up. No place at a football match and there will be no publicity of it whatsoever at the match, I am sure.
Houdini Logic Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Fucking hate people that give unncessary abuse to traffic wardens. Also hate people that react violently to most incidents but particularly those like this. Fully agree - i've had tickets before but that's because i'm an idiot, not them

Shrenchel Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 Fvck it. People can protest against what they want, where they like. If he's got enough of his mates in L block to put together something that's not going to look like a complete joke then good luck to them. Can't see anyone who doesn't know him giving a fvck though, even if 2 years is on the harsh side.
Finnegan Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 Fvck it. People can protest against what they want, where they like. Oh yeah absolutely - and I'd fight for their right to do so. I'd also fight for my right to disagree with them!
