I'm actually beginning to question the involvement of Johnson with England.

On the one hand he has many years of negativity and crapness to try and get out of the team.. new personell, new tactics and totally new method of thinking is going to take some time...

On the other hand, what other sport in the WORLD is someone going to retire playing for England and then go on to manage his country in his first ever managers Job?

Its usually nice to see some improvement if you want to retain peoples confidence and support....

S'alright mate. You beat Wales.

Tis true

Only France look a decent side out of the european nations at the moment

Regardless of the usual wanting England to lose, I really wish Italy had snatched it.

Would certainly have made the competition wide open with four of us on the same points.

I know it's scandalous to say this as an England fan but I would have had a small smile if Italy had nicked it, maybe we need a crap result to wake us up.

I know the Wales players (and fans) must have been so excited by nicking such a stunning late win but this celebration is a bit too much!?

Now just think of the reaction if a footballer had done this?

:dunno::whistle:

England weren't very good from what I saw but got that win.

I heard the commentators in the England match mention a Buggy and Andy Powell but didnt quite get it

Yeah I read, shame. I understand their position and all that, won't argue, but it is a shame.

Still funny though, sorry. lol

If any of our mates did that they'd be a legend for life.

The image is just hilarious.

He's such a big bastard, as well, he must have looked a right sight. I'd love to see a picture of it.

Try of the tournament, that is. What a player Shane Williams is.

Dire, though, really. So many silly mistakes or rash decisions.

Two awful Lee Byrne penalties including one five-yard kick to the corner gone dead, both of their tries literally gifted to them, Jamie Roberts 2 on 1 and somehow gaffing it up (not for the first time.)

Another first half of literally doing nothing. Just isn't good enough. Wouldn't be so bad if France had actually done anything. Don't get me wrong, they're an awesome side, but they've not really had to get out of first gear today at all.

Wales fought back well in the 2nd half but the first half was absymal. France weren't even that good, just obdurate, and seized onto two gifts clinically. They were eminently beatable tonight and Wales choked. Having said that, I do like watching Wales when they click into gear like they did in some periods of the 2nd half, far more entertaining than England.

That's it for the Grand Slam and 6N title now, England would need to improve to a level we haven't yet seen under Johnson to beat France in Paris, and well France just aren't going to lose to Italy. To be honest I'd be surprised if England even won today nevermind against France.

I wouldn't say we choked.

I'd say we choked last year in Paris after leading at half time, we choked and our Six Nations ended there. We had the talent and the opportunity to beat France and then go into a Grand Slam decider with Ireland which we proved we were good enough to win there, too, falling short with a last-minute penalty miss.

That was choking.

This is just... inept, really. I can't be too pessimistic because it's obvious to anyone with a brain that we've a good, strong side - even with the likes of Mike Phillips, Dunc Jones, Geth Jenkins and Gav Henson all AWOL. But it's one of the most frustrating things in sport to see a team good enough on paper just flop time and time again.

I just don't understand how they can play twenty odd minutes of near-brilliant rugby per game and somehow not deliver with that adventure for the rest of the match.

He's not right in the head.

Until he is I'd say that any report stating what Gavin Henson is or isn't going to do is entirely speculative and lazy journalism.

I can't see him going off to league but I can see him flunking it in. I hope he doesn't, but who knows? You have to question whether - a la Wilkinson - even if he does return to fitness is he ever really going to be world class again? They're a similar story, really, both of them had the world at their feet as arguably the best two talents of their generation but it's all gone up in a storm of injury and blight.

I think the only real difference is Wilkinson has the mental toughness and the professionalism to get through while Henson, well, doesn't really seem to.
