ozleicester Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 This is the opportunity Gallagher has been waiting for, NP just neds to give him 90 mins up front and some support around him and he will score. He is clearly a natural striker, quality on the ball and, given the freedom... will find scoring positions.Still think we will lose Matty during the summer anyway (unless we get promoted) and this will give the coaches a chance to look at next years side and what will be required. Given our poor scoring record this may well be a very positive forced change. cmonn yooo bloooosssss Gallagher and Hobbs are the future of LCFC.
davieG Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 But Gallagher didn't play upfront? That was what I was thinking as well.
Fox You Forest Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 He was playing in Dany's role, Waggy was up front.
Corky Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 But Gallagher didn't play upfront? He didn't but Waghorn also showed he was capable of leading the line.
marbelladave Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 He was playing in Dany's role, Waggy was up front. Pretty much so, but from the right not the left! He seens to have realised that in this position he is a striker, not a midfield player and that although his defensive duties require him to deploy wide right, going forward he has to attack the box. Both his goals (from open play) came from central position and interestingly from distance. He had several opportunities close in, and didn't take them, hopefully Pearson will realise this, and not try and get him to play right upfront because of his hat trick!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 Celtic and Rangers have a few quality fringe players.
