Brainy Posted 16 February 2010 Posted 16 February 2010 would take one out of Cole, Crouch and Heskey. Rooney, Defoe, Agbonlahor/Bent, Cole/Heskey/Crouch If 5 strikers then Rooney, Defoe, Cole, then either Aggy/Bent and Heskey/Crouch
Joe. Posted 16 February 2010 Posted 16 February 2010 Not 'gona lie, I did compltely forgwt Michah Richards in my team. Swap him ofr the baked bean Wes Brom a d we're onto a winnwr. Wellk serious yeah.... Nah but really. Micah Richards > Wes Brown .
ozleicester Posted 16 February 2010 Posted 16 February 2010 Surprise.... Jack Hobbs, cmon Fabio.. you know you want to. and IMO Beckham must go and should be on the team sheet, apart from the fact that he is pure quality even at his age. The way the team lift when he is on the park makes it worthwhile to at least have him as a supersub.
dandannieldanok Posted 16 February 2010 Posted 16 February 2010 the baked bean Wes Brom That really really made me laugh !! Surprise.... Jack Hobbs, cmon Fabio.. you know you want to. and IMO Beckham must go and should be on the team sheet, apart from the fact that he is pure quality even at his age. The way the team lift when he is on the park makes it worthwhile to at least have him as a supersub. I can't really recollect ever personally seeing David Beckham's presence directly influencing a better performance from the team. As Uncle says, he's not starting games for AC Milan and on that basis I really can't see how you could take him. If he forces his way into the AC Milan team and performs well then he should be a strong consideration, but if the squad was picked today he surely wouldn't be involved.
goose2010 Posted 16 February 2010 Posted 16 February 2010 i think the 2 legs against man utd for beckham are massive IF and a big if he gets in the team they could determine whether he is at the world cup or not, i no that it should be if plays a blinder in both legs it is going to be hard for capello to say no!
Samilktray Posted 16 February 2010 Posted 16 February 2010 I think he'll take Beckham no matter what, you cant buy his kind of experience and I dont think we have a dead ball specialist or a player with his passing ability in the squad. Beckham will cut open the best defences in the world with 1 of his passes.
Tilley Posted 16 February 2010 Posted 16 February 2010 GK- Robert Green David James Joe Hart Def- Glen Johnson Micah Richards John Terry Rio Ferdinand Matthew Upson Ashley Cole Leighton Baines Mid- David Beckham Frank Lampard Steven Gerrard Gareth Barry Aaron Lennon Michael Carrick James Milner Joe Cole Fwd- Wayne Rooney Jermaine Defoe Peter Crouch Emile Heskey Michael Owen
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 17 February 2010 Posted 17 February 2010 I think he'll take Beckham no matter what, you cant buy his kind of experience and I dont think we have a dead ball specialist or a player with his passing ability in the squad. Plus down side with not taking Beckham is that it would be billed as a massive story by the press and overshadow anything else. It would be similar as to the time Gazza was dropped.
Big Ol' Bob Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Scott Parker. Everytime I see him for West Ham on MOTD or a game on sky he is named MOTM, yet never gets a look in for England. A solid player to take too, wears his heart on his sleeve. Top scouting by me....
