Whoever it be, i wouldn't mind us giving a chance to a hungry player in a league/2 below

Adam Boyd is a class act, i can't wait for him to prove himself in this league next season to make you look a right fool, not that it needs to be proved.

He has a good record one league below us, it's not a particularly risky gamble. We can't really splash too much cash around can we?

Nationwider Posted 16 May 2005 Posted 16 May 2005 Seen him play live three times this season and he scored 4. For Really, really good finisher with both feet. Can create - good around the box. Aagainst The price. Can be a bit sulky when the team is behind. They probably won't sell - esp if Pools go up. He's not the quickest, like Connolly - tho Conners has more energy, but Boyd is a natural finisher. I reckon he could be a quality player who ends up in the lower leagues because no-one will take a chance on him for ages (like Matt Elliott etc). Having said that, he'll probably sign for Newcastle tomorrow.
