Blue Arrow Posted 4 August 2005 Posted 4 August 2005 De Vries is pants now, can't even score in the ressies.Shittu has been unhappy since the summer because I declared interest in another defender (Boumsong I think) just after he signed for the club, I only had him Hreidarsson at that point though He is still playing very well however. 142508 1 goal in one game:O oh and a sub appearance. PS. How do you get a member of your team to mark a certain player?
Ricey Posted 8 August 2005 Author Posted 8 August 2005 I've decided to give this Diary a rest for awhile, it will be back though. I've started a new Leicester game with a 05/06 season update and with all the real life fixtures etc, I just couldn't resist having a pop at managing the current City squad and City's current situation. Would people want me to do a diary for this or not? Or will it be too similar to the last? If it is does anyone have any ideas to feshen it up a bit?
Muz Posted 8 August 2005 Posted 8 August 2005 Do one for the new game mate its always an intresting read.

I was also thinkin of doing a league like that myself. I am currently England/leicester manager and im getting a bit bored. Plus, its followed in a similar pattern to my other Leicester league. Maybe create a general Football Manager thread and people can post their own games in there. Saves there being loads of FM threads (not that its like that atm) and its also good for people who are not interested in FM as they wont see many poppin up apart from 1 single thread. (if that makes sense? sorry..its late!)

I'm thinking of starting a game with someone like Preston or Ipswich but I might go for someone in league 1 like Brentford.
Ricey Posted 9 August 2005 Author Posted 9 August 2005 I thought about creating a website for my diary, the only problem is that it would be too time consuming.
City Fan Posted 9 August 2005 Posted 9 August 2005 I thought about creating a website for my diary, the only problem is that it would be too time consuming. 153062 Wouldn't it be good if we had a Football Manager forum so we can all have a thread each talking about our game, and that way the threads won't drop down the list!

I think that there is considerable interest in the game, plus others would follow. Could suggest to Mr C.

Which it was really.
City Fan Posted 9 August 2005 Posted 9 August 2005 In the thread we could have various member progress threads, and threads for Network games etc. I think it would be used quite a lot. And there are more and more people on Foxestalk now so why not expand a little! Who dares to suggest it to the gaffer then?
Gené and Tonic Posted 12 August 2005 Posted 12 August 2005 A couple of players to look out for in FM are Guarin (18 year old DMC) and Mokoena (17 year old AMC/FC). Both turn into world class players. A goal keeper that imo is better than Cech is Jan Lastuvka, same age, same nationality, but much cheaper and better.

I think he is brother of Aaron Mokoena who plays for Blackburn.
Gené and Tonic Posted 14 August 2005 Posted 14 August 2005 get deuchar then. 20 for finishing and heading. He goes to conference teams I think, but you might have to give him a fairly high wage.
Blue Arrow Posted 15 August 2005 Posted 15 August 2005 Thousands the limit ...but i got promoted...league two!!
