Asha Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Yeah, Brown can fuck off. I don't agree with fans that were booing at the end, but he has to accept that the team was shit today, and he was part of that. I saw him mouthing off but wasn't sure what he'd said, someone on the coach afterwards mentioned something about him calling the leicester fans 'wankers', and if that is true he can go fcuk himself. Who does he think he is? Although I disagree with the booing, but at the end of the day people have paid £30 to watch that utter shite.
calum_lcfc Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Claping rival fans before your own a big no no Almost as poor of a showing as Wayne Brown arguing with his own fans at the end Shameful.
Karljohn Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Wayne Brown calling us wankers Really? I'll break his fooking legs.
Rich Fox Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Wayne Brown calling us wankers Really? I'll break his fooking legs. I will hold the bastard down for you while you do it.
Darkzzz_ Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 If you're one of those shit footballers like matt oakley that likes to applaud the Derby fans, then, you're one of those shit footballers Strip him of the captaincy NP, and then stick it up his tiny little pickle juice leaking stinkhole. Oh forget it then! Best thing I've heard all day.
leftsideoverhere Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 I will hold the bastard down for you while you do it. Part of me would like to see you try. Honestly, this has been a pretty unedifying day all round. The city fans seemed good at the start, standing and making a fair bit of noise, but that tailed off as the game went on, and the booing of Oakley was embarrassing. Oakley was a tit for appearing to give more acknowledgement to the sheep fans than us, but we're digging at Savage for not respecting his 'ex', and we can't do that and also boo Oakley for acknowledging the good reception he got from the home crowd today. It seemed to me that Brown had some specific fans in mind when he unleashed his frustration on them at the end, presumably some he thought had been key to the booing of Oakley. Brown was, in effect, sticking up for his captain, and while we might not like being yelled at, it does at least suggest that he gives a shit, unlike some of the on-field performances. But it's heart breaking that with City in the playoff places there's booing, and threads on foxestalk in which fans wind themselves up into a fury about wanting to fight one of their own players. Nothing was very professional about our performance today. You'd be forgiven for thinking that it was us scrapping for our lives at the foot of the table (again) not Derby. We ought to be delighted by our league placing, and tolerant of the hiccups we are inevitably going to suffer along the way. We've got a squad combining promising but inexperienced youngsters with some old heads on tired shoulders, but that's all the club can afford meaning that a top-six position is a dramatic acheivement and one worth us giving the team 'the benefit of the doubt' on things such as today's own goal, or Oakley's clapping. Instead, some fans have hyped themselves into believing promotion is our right, and they are quick to pounce on the weaknesses which can't possibly be coming as a surprise, and giving stick at the slightest sign of trouble. Perhaps the Wembley return now seems so close people are desperate not to let it slip out of their grasp. That makes sense, but the desperation isn't good. To cap it all, Sav embarasses himself on twitter tonight by laughing at Chris Weale's mistake and generally behaving in an unprofessional manner himself. I'm going to get drunk.

flanimal Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 I don't really have a problem with Oakley clapping, it's not disgraceful, should've just done it quicker. My issue with Oakley is that I don't think he's very good. Same with Brown, he can shout at fans if he wants, it's just unprofessional. Would like more of that feisty attitude on the pitch than being thrown at supporters from the safety of the pitch.
Corky Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 If Oakley had played even vaguely competently, I wouldn't have a problem. But he didn't, so I do.
milan_foxes Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 I wouldnt of mind if he did a quick clap and maybe a wave at the Sheep but he was doing it to the whole of the ground and he clapped there fans before ours
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 He done well for us last season but atm he is invisible. Applauding the Derby fans before his own sides was also disgraceful along with what Brown did. He's meant to be the fooking captain. I joined in when the Derby fans sang Matty Oakley is a ram, is a ram, is a ram, Matty Oakley is a ram........ . I shall also be singing this at the next game. ****
C.J Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 I don't like Oakley. I think all in all he's been very shit this season. He's wasted hundreds of set pieces with woeful crosses. He has little pace, and lacks creativity. He hasn't scored in 40+ games. He's a non inspirational captain and isn't a great leader at all. I want him out the team forever TBH. What he said
caz05 Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 My views on Oakley in this simple link... This is absolutely disgusting, are any of our fans ever happy we are in the best position we have been for a long time, and this is uncalled for. If i was a player and saw this i would say eff off to your play off place

If i was a player and saw this i would say eff off to your play off place Yeah, but you don't usually win games on the basis of solely individual performances - it's a team sport. We're not in the league position because of Matt Oakley alone. If I was Matt Oakley, I'd think really hard about what I did today. But then again, he's Matt Oakley and he cares sh*t all about Leicester. Allegedly.

Gaffer Posted 27 March 2010 Author Posted 27 March 2010 My views on Oakley in this simple link... Pointless

If i was a player and saw this i would say eff off to your play off place He was good in league 1,but he's useless this season.....teams evolve and at the moment Oakleys still stuck in the stone age.As for you saying eff off to your play off place,i really don't think he cares.

What because he showed his appreciation to a set of fans of the team he used to play for,so when Hume came to the walkers and we all clapped him and he did us, that was ok then. Sorry but i think its rather sad in my opinion
flanimal Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 People, you're over-reacting. You can't act like this towards a player for clapping Derby fans, you're taking it too far. Enough.

I believe he is a player that evaluates his own performance and does care about the cause- he's just stuck in a rut right now and is struggling for form.

Yes because none of the players care and there all useless, thats why we sit in the play-offs after just coming up from league 1. But yes they dont care ok
