The People's Hero Posted 13 August 2010 Posted 13 August 2010 Stop making an absolute tool of yourself all the time. What about hobbs, waghorn, spearing, weale, wellens, morrison, chris powell etc Every manager makes some bad signings, but he also moved very well in the transfer market. he has left us a quality spine of a team to cmpete with this season and brought player on like King and Morrison. Some of your comments are an embaressment, clearly you are 15 years old. Hi Tommy. Been a while! Give the guy a break. NP on the whole did well in the transfer market - but he made errors too. It's a 2 sided coin. For every Hobbs, there is a McGivern and for every Weale there's a Martin. I liked and like NP, and overall he's proven himself savvy in the transfer market, he makes good use of the scouting set up and seems to have good relationships with managers at the top clubs.

Quite a few people wet themselves over NP's signings and i'm merely pointing out that he made as many bad signings as he did good ones. I'm not 15 but you are quite correct. A 15 year old would recognise the point.

Yes - been a while! Are you back for good, as Gary Barlow would say? Yeh you are right, I was mainly referring to this poster in general, he has served up some drivel in this thread and knows about as much about football as Gary Glitter knows about keeping away from kids. i think NP was a great manager for us, and has got us in a great position going forward. this guy would be jizzing everywhere if we had signed Koren but has now started to slate him and NP. Silly
STUHILL Posted 13 August 2010 Posted 13 August 2010 These kind of comment piss me off. Do you even know two cents about football? Why have Hull all of a sudden got no money, do you know their auditors, seen the balance sheet? Probably not. They will have had a huge wonga when they got promoted, been in the premiership for two seasons = £££££ Add to this parachute payments which are rediculous, Therefore they probably have a lot more disposable income than us? Fact is, at the moment NP, as much as we all dispise him and Dull, has made much better signings than we have so far. So to get over the jealousy that koren will be starting for them on saturday, people make comment like ''where have they got their money from?'' i agree that Hull aren't an attractive club to go for but at the moment they can compete far better than us in the transfer market it seems, otherwise we would have snapped up a player like Koren? Open your eyes Haha chill-out mate. I am just going off what Adam Pearson, their Chairman and other people in Football have said. They over spent in the Prem and even with parachute payments, massive wage bills like Bullards and other costs have crippled the club financially and as said by their Chairman, they have a tight budget and would have to sell and get high earners off the books before they bring people in. That could be wrong, but it seems common knowledge that Pompey and Hull are struggling financially, whereas Burnley were the ones who seem ok and will benefit more from the parachute payments, i.e they didn't over spend So, I understand why people are bit surprised Koren who is rumoured to be after around 20k would be affordable for them. Maybe Bullard has sealed a deal though.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 August 2010 Posted 13 August 2010 Bloody Hull. They seem to get money from no where.

I don't think any chairman with his head screwed on would shout from the rooftops that their club is fooking minted.

Silly Massive overreaction. I'm starting to realise that there are a few people on here that you cannot disagree with without being slated. The Gary Glitter comment is particularly out of order and you really should be ashamed. I don't claim to know it all but I speak my mind whether it's unpopular or not. This is investment will enable us to bring in better players than Koren and NP in my opinion was a good manager but not as good as many have built him up to be. Sorry if that goes against your mindset but thats just tough. You accuse me of being a 15 year old but when someone disagrees with you, you become abusive?? Perhaps you should grow up a bit and realise that in life not everyone is going to hold the same opinion as you. And it's quite likely that if I disagree with you on one point, I may disagree with you on a whole number of things as our outlook's are obviously different.
