Yeah would be surprised if he didn't get a premiership contract, especially as he's a free agent and wouldn't be a risk. Would be a mega signing if Nige could persuade him though.

Add to this the fact that he'll be in the World Cup shop window with Slovenija and we're struggling... However, If we pulled this off I'd do a definite Ravanelli and Klinsmann dive in the street, like when I first discovered that we were in for Robbie Fowler (premature lad)

Lets face it the guy is a quality player and many of us know that if City were interested in him there's going to be stiff competition from Premiership, Championship and maybe foreign teams so it will be difficult for us to sign him...but he's just the kind of player we need if we want to build on last season. That kind of Ambrose/Whittingham/Dorrans type player to replace Oakley who is woeful. So even though I can't see City going for him he is just what we need. But we won't sign him

Maybe they have plans to spend and don't think he deserves to be a bench warmer. He will defiantly be in the premiership next season or are a relegated prem team.

His prospects would be far better if he came to someone like us, F*rest or even Leeds. Though as you say he should really be playing in the top flight, really rate him.

If we got him he would be our best player and a massive statement on where we want to be.
