Edmund Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Out of curiousity - why aren't you part of this group? Because I'm scared of the fox badge. It screams National Front.
Houdini Logic Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Because I'm scared of the fox badge. It screams National Front. And I'm the one making myself look stupid yeah
Edmund Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 And I'm the one making myself look stupid yeah I was taking the piss out of you and you're reference to the badge. I'll probably join the group but as I don't whore myself out on facebook I can't officially join. I don't regard myself as a fanatic but it wont stop me from joining in as I don't find the group intimidating as you seem to be making out.

Guest Bilo Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 we're moving from facebook to our own website! so post on there and get involved with us and Rob the flag looks amazing! Beautiful flag. Thanks lads. I'll be attaching the poles in the next couple of days or so, then we'll get a better idea of how it'll really look at matches. NB: The second S in Fosse doesn't look as gash in the flesh, the fencepost hasn't really helped.

CosbehFox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 while the Kop did improve greatly they weren't on the same scale as the Cardiff fans in the reverse fixture (sad but true). They are in a new stadium like ours yet they made far more noise than we did That's no comparison, it was a completely unique occasion. First legs are always nervy atmospheres and second legs lots of noise.
Narborough_fox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 May i ask what does it mean? Sorry if thats being stupid.
Guest Bilo Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 what stuff you using for poles? Just bog standard waste pipes should be fine for a two stick. Possibly even good enough for a waver, nice and lightweight and should have no problems taking the weight of the flag when waved and will certainly have no danger with a two stick. The flag itself is pretty light weight so I should have no problems with either.

Guest Mee-9 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Looks like this group is coming on alot! Lovely Flag Bilo! Theres just one thing I can't get my head around, I'm not being ignorant at all whatsoever, so before you pounce on me just hear me out. I know singing foreign songs is in the Ultra ethos, but I don't really get how it's going to help the atmosphere. I could guarentee around 97% of the stadium wouldn't have a clue whats going on with Foreign songs being sung. I think sticking to the 'Traditional Leicester Songs' such as When You're Smiling, Ring of Fire etc... would be a better idea, and would get alot more people around the ground singing along with you. I really do understand why you will be singing foreign 'Ultra' songs, and I was part of the facebook group, and I'm a member on your website. But who am I to have an input on what goes on, Arabs the leader, and it looks as if he's doing an amazing job! Thanks guys.
Guest Bilo Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 What material is it? it looks like heavier material than normal stuff for wavers? Just ordinary polycotton, a little bit silky. Pretty much the same material you'd see on an ordinary quality flag you'd get from any shop, but much better quality in my opinion. It's very lightweight though, certainly not the kind of heavy cotton you'd see on large flags meant for poles.

Narborough_fox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Is Ring of fire traditional, I thought that was a newer one. From what I have heard they will be bringing back many a Filbo Street song back to Filbert Way, like molly Malone and When You're Smiling, euro songs are very good to create an atmosphere which may intimidate or get the atmosphere a light again.

It is actually excellent quality, they did tell me they supply a local flag company with the same stuff when they make their cheaper flags. Cost £2.50 a metre but you will need to hem it all the way around to stop it fraying, which is a bit of a ball ache. I can ask if they can put me in touch with their suppliers if you like cos obviously Skeggy's a bit far to go for some polycotton!

Or.....a perfect little excuse for a booze up (not forgetting to come back with some polycotton of course ).
Guest Bilo Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Or.....a perfect little excuse for a booze up (not forgetting to come back with some polycotton of course ). If only we could have a pre-season friendly at Burgh Road eh? (Home to Skegness Town, Sills & Betteridge Lincolnshire League)

Ilkeston_Fox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 If only we could have a pre-season friendly at Burgh Road eh? (Home to Skegness Town, Sills & Betteridge Lincolnshire League) Would have been something to remember and no mistake.

It's damned good quality tbf, but also light enough to wave, which is what I'm leaning towards now as I think it could be a bit big for a two stick. It is quite thin though, I basically have a mirror image of the design on the back where the paint has seeped through. Then again if it was too thick, it'd be absolutely useless for the purpose I want it for.
