Fosse Boys - Leicester City Ultras

No group in the British Isles even comes close to the Green Brigade in my opinion. Especially now they've been given their own section and some control over ticketing by the club.

Shows the importance of the club being onside in my opinion. Ultra friendly board = Successful group.

Any chance of getting a large Atletico Madrid flag that we can tear in half a la Green Brigade and the Rapid Vienna crest?

lol

I guess we'll have to wait until we next play them to do that, so 2011.

Not sure about the Bhoys having an Ultra friendly board. I'm fairly confident in saying they don't see eye to eye with John Reid...

if you can wait then just wait for a bit longer, i'd recomend getting them on the kop side of the west stand because if they dont open teh whole stadium we will just go under the barrier and squeeze into the kop

but we will let you all know after the meeting

wouldn't it be worth suggesting that, seeing as they aren't opening the whole ground, the club allocate you an area right next to the open bit, so they can see what you are all about and so you won't involve the regular fans.

sort of a controlled test, that they can monitor and manage, that won't overly intrude on anybody else's view of the match... it would also make it easier for you to control who is involved and coördinate any newbies?

just a thought - but have you considered contacting any of the ultra's groups overseas, maybe even establishing a relationship with one of them - like a twin club or something?

might be useful to see how they manage when numbers start to swell.

It doesn't just happen like that though. We've got a few contacts on the continent but I'm pretty certain no one would be willing to form an alliance with a group in England who haven't even got any action under their belt yet. We'll see though, would love it to happen in the future.

No real surprise they don't get on with John Reid. He's the kind of bloke who could start an argument in an empty phone box with no money.

Control over ticketing and their own section in the stadium though is bloody excellent from Celtic as a club.

Yeah I believe they've been known to hang their group banner upside down at games in protest against him, plus there's a fair few anti-Reid War Criminal stickers flying around (can't find any pics).

Ultras? The Ultras in Italy are rough as ****, I hope we don't become a fanbase who start brawls and throw flares onto the pitch lol

That's a huge generalisation about the scene. Plus we've made it clear in this thread that we're anti-racism and anti-violence.

I love how the 'we' is just you and arab! lol

P.s - hope it all works though!

It's not, there's a few other key lads involved in the setting up of the group who aren't as vocal on here. Thanks for the support anyway.

Loving that video! :appl:

any ideas of numbers for the 31st? :scarf:

I think we are looking at 50-60 people standing behind the Fosse Boys banner.

Those numbers are un heard of for a groups first game

no other group in britain had anywhere near that number for a first game

so hopefully that is a sign of things to come

out of all the Ultra groups in England, I'd say we have the biggest fan base

so if this works and gets going we will be serious contenders for biggest group in England

but not necassarily the best.....

we'll have to show we are serious, and it'll take time and dedication

but i think we can do it

the first year is the hardest and aslong as people stick with it even when things get tough and the club try and put obstacles in our way then we can do it

Fair enough fosse boy. Personally I don't think you should have a few main lads, everyone should be as equal as the other, but in a way I can understand why you have 'main boys' or whatever. Still, looking forward to being involved in an ultra experience none the less.

We have our meeting set in stone with the club now, I am going to propose they open a section of the "kop" just for us..

As mentioned we have some continental friends. We are hoping to display our first "friendship banner" at the sunderland game

Everything needs a leader(s).

I understand that, as I clearly said. But it seems to me like there's only noise coming from a few people.

I can see where you're coming from Bert, but they're are quite a few members who do not post on here, and are through the forum/facebook group.

One of the most vocal and hardworking members of the group, I understand, is not actually on this forum at all. The thing is that for something like this to work properly as it does on the continent in particular, it needs to have some degree of formalisation. The only way that'll work is there are a few leading lights within the group.

Posted

Just because there's only a few makes no difference, just a few with the right mentality is all you need. Plus as people see whats going on, the groups tend to grow.

Seems my post was took the wrong way, oh well.

The flag looks awesome, and I hope for the time and effort arab's put into this, it all works out.

Are the club 100% on this? These flags are great and it would be a travesty if they came down on this like a tonne of bricks.

Love that tifo flag
