LCFC-ARAB Posted 24 June 2010 Posted 24 June 2010 My 8ft x 5ft flag should be delivered today according to fedex hopefully it will be as expected How much did that cost and where did you get it from??
Guest Bilo Posted 24 June 2010 Posted 24 June 2010 If anyone, like me, is taking the tight arse route and making their own flag the paint you'll need is Dylon Fabric Paint, which should cost about £12-£15 for 500ml. This stuff says soft on the fabric and is therefore durable enough for all the hammering your flag is likely to take, such as waving, constantly rolling up and it should be pretty waterproof as well. The website I've used is Craftpacks, who I ordered my paint from yesterday and it's just arrived this morning, so the service is pretty rapid. Sorry if this sounds like an advert for Dylon or Craftpacks, but this is probably the best way forward.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 24 June 2010 Posted 24 June 2010 Have you tried using that stuff yet? i've bought so much acrylic paint to try on my 2 stick material and it doesnt work very well
AndyBrew Posted 24 June 2010 Posted 24 June 2010 How much did that cost and where did you get it from?? I used this site http://the-flag-makers.com I haven't seen the finished article yet but they seem to have done a few uk football flags according to their portfolio, as soon as mine arrives I'll upload a piccy oh it was £115
Lillehamring Posted 24 June 2010 Posted 24 June 2010 They only cost a fiver! Ipswich first said no to their fans but with a bit of persistance they said yes in the end and we arent going to stop till we make the club understand that we arent animals and we wont spear someone if they let us take a flag pole in at the risk of being the thread cynic, the argument you are likely to face form our kill-joy club is that: 'if they let you lot in with poles, other people will no doubt get in and thus kill people'.

They probbaly will say that but i cant see a group of lads, who want to actually have a bit of agro at games walking around with leicester flags? or bringing them to games but i dont think you were saying that cause you think it aswell! it's just what the club will say..... which is sad and hopefully we can convince them other wise

LCFC-ARAB Posted 24 June 2010 Posted 24 June 2010 Do they still take flasks off people? Have i missed something? they don't actually stop people bringing flasks in do they? thats how we were gunna smuggle our flares in! or has that joke gone completly over my head...
Fosse Boy Posted 24 June 2010 Author Posted 24 June 2010 Have i missed something? they don't actually stop people bringing flasks in do they? thats how we were gunna smuggle our flares in! or has that joke gone completly over my head... Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh. EDIT: Maybe not.
davieG Posted 24 June 2010 Posted 24 June 2010 Have i missed something? they don't actually stop people bringing flasks in do they? thats how we were gunna smuggle our flares in! or has that joke gone completly over my head... Up until a couple of years ago I know for sure they did along with bottles and even umbrella's. Judging from people I've seen recently they may have relaxed their attitude or perhaps people have got wise and smuggle them in. So no joke. As for flares if one goes off in your group I think you can say goodbye to the whole idea of a gathering of Fosse Boys with flags.

davieG Posted 24 June 2010 Posted 24 June 2010 Hopefully they have relaxed their attitude and we wont be doing flares at home, we arent that stupid! Let's hope you're all thinking the same but some people, especially with few drinks in them and the safety in numbers aren't averse to being stupid.

Well if the club let us take flags in etc then i will make sure that we dont use flares at home it's how it works in germany the clubs let the fans take what they want into the stadium, flags, banners, drums and megaphones but if one flare is lit then they arent allowed to do any of that for the next three home games i think i have that right it's what a lad i went to germany was saying if they club dont let us take ANYTHING into the ground then why the hell shouldnt we use flares every game
Shrenchel Posted 24 June 2010 Posted 24 June 2010 Barclay may be a snively cvnt but he's not stupid. I'm 100% sure he'll have read this thread (Hi Kev). Talking about how you're going to use flares, home or away, is just inviting him to sit on the group til it chokes to death on his gooch hairs.

lcfc_jme Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Hello Kevin. I won't be involved in this group, so you've got no grounds to ban them / look down on them because of me - not that you would seeing as you love me. I just wanted to let you know that I also love you and truly do admire the amazing work that you do behind the scenes at our club; I'm so thankful we have somebody as passionate, fan-friendly, considerate and understanding as you running things for us. In my opinion, there is no way that anyone could disagree with this and you certainly are not a complete hypocrite, amongst other things. Anyways boys, it's nice to see the way things are moving, looking promising. Keep up the good work!
Guest Bilo Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Have you tried using that stuff yet? i've bought so much acrylic paint to try on my 2 stick material and it doesnt work very well Haven't actually started with it yet but it is the best paint for the purpose as it's waterproof, won't crack when it's dry and you roll up your flag and stays soft on the fabric. I have tried it on a couple of pieces of scrap rags and stuff and it's fairly easy to use, looks decent when dry as well. I'd recommend that over acrylic to be honest.

ALSO does anybody know anything about online petitions? are they that affective like if the club wont let us take flags and a drum in, we start an online petition get 5,000 signatures then hand it into the club just an idea, cause i have no idea about petitions

No club is too stupid to realise they'd be fvck all without their supporters. The paint itself comes in all the most common colours you're likely to use, blue, white, black, yellow, green etc. As I say, it's pretty rapid service as well, seeing as my stuff arrived in less than 24 hours. Go back a page or two to find the link to the supplier I used, they were just about the cheapest I could find for the quantity I needed as well. EDIT: Look in Post 727 for the link.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Am i being stupid, but who is Kevin? The bloke in charge of the stadiums health and safety who stopped the N block singing section and banned a lad on here for standing up on the back row with about 20 rows of people standing infront of him
