Edmund Posted 1 August 2010 Author Posted 1 August 2010 David James has gone Bristol City. Probably the best keeper in this league now Personally I reckon Camp is by far the best shot stopper in this league.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Personally I reckon Camp is by far the best shot stopper in this league. Possibly, but James is the best keeper. He's just kept goal for England at the World Cup. Say what you like about the state of English keeping, but he's a farcically good goalkeeper for this level.
RedHux Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Personally I reckon Camp is by far the best shot stopper in this league. Really? Our reserve keeper Smith is a better shot stopper the Camp. He just can't command his area, deal with crosses or inspire any sort of confidence in the defenders which is why he never plays.
Edmund Posted 4 August 2010 Author Posted 4 August 2010 Really? Our reserve keeper Smith is a better shot stopper the Camp. He just can't command his area, deal with crosses or inspire any sort of confidence in the defenders which is why he never plays. I've always rated Camp since he's been at Derby. When we played Derby at the Walkers a few years back, he was unstoppable that day and with what I saw of highlights of the Forest games last season he looks a very good keeper. Koumas to Cardiff
RedHux Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 Yea, he's definitely up there when he's having a good day. I think the work he does organising the defence is one of his main strengths which most people don't notice from the stands. Ryan Bertrand to Forest, 6 month loan Finally a left back!
CosbehFox Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 Ryan Bertrand to Forest, 6 month loan Finally a left back! Much like Camp, a big-head.
RedHux Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 ...and Billy Davies and Lewis McGugan, and even Earnie has a rather oversized noggin in the more literal sense. Rumours abound are that we're signing Peter Whittingham sometime soon. Also Callum Davenport is training with us so Billy can cast his eye over him.
shen Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 Fülop to Ipswich No doubt that'll get a reaction from a few on here
Edmund Posted 5 August 2010 Author Posted 5 August 2010 Fülop to Ipswich No doubt that'll get a reaction from a few on here Keane loves signing players from Sunderland.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 I bet they've overspent on him, he was good but he definitely has a few flaws in his game.
Edmund Posted 5 August 2010 Author Posted 5 August 2010 I bet they've overspent on him First thing which came to my mind when I saw undisclosed fee mentioned.
JimmyK Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 Winston Reid to West Ham Great signing imo, though I'm possibly a bit biased having been in NZ during the World Cup.
Mikey Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Bostock to Hull Good signing for Hull Weak. Pearson working his magic.
RedHux Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 This may be of interest to your good selves. Julian Bennett to Crystal Palace on a 6 month loan Missed all of last year through injury, we've sent him out to get fit and to see if he can cut it in this division. Hard tackling LB with a decent shot. I hope he does well (next week of course, not against you lt )
Jimothy Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Nicky Shorey to WBA. Looks like Joe Mattock made the right choice moving to WBA then.
shen Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Winston Reid to West Ham Great signing imo, though I'm possibly a bit biased having been in NZ during the World Cup. He's decent but nowhere near worth the money West Ham have paid! Few people point out that he was largely at fault for the goals NZ conceded, but only highlight his goal and some of his crucial tackles. Vital for Danish football and FCM in particular that they've got a very handsome amount of money out of it.
Mikey Posted 11 August 2010 Posted 11 August 2010 Man United sign a 20 year old Portugese striker called Bebe, for £7.4m from the same club we got Moreno from - http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6307047,00.html Also Onuoha has joined Sunderland on loan, and Kenwyne Jones has gone Stoke for 8m.
shen Posted 12 August 2010 Posted 12 August 2010 Christian Poulsen to Liverpool for £4,5m. Fine signing if you ask me, thorough professional (bar one blip) and a very solid player. Should be an able replacement for Mascherano if he leaves.
Edmund Posted 17 August 2010 Author Posted 17 August 2010 Madrid confirm Ozil signing £12.4 million is a bargain considering Milner is costing Man City £25 million.
Tilley Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 English players always demand stupidly high fees, no wonder clubs go abroad.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Palace are after Edgar Davids. http://www.southlondon-today.co.uk/sport.cfm?id=28975&headline=Exclusive:%20Palace%20set%20to%20sign%20Edgar%20Davids
