MC Prussian Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 £12.4 million is a bargain considering Milner is costing Man City £25 million. Or maybe it's because Real Madrid are skint.
Collier Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Or maybe it's because Ozil is out of contract next summer?
Fox You Forest Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Either way, Milner's never worth that amount, decent player but not that good.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Palace are after Edgar Davids. http://www.southlondon-today.co.uk/sport.cfm?id=28975&headline=Exclusive:%20Palace%20set%20to%20sign%20Edgar%20Davids Haven't they learnt their lesson.
Matt Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Brilliant deal for Villa, Really rate Steven Ireland, and they've got money (Alot of money) to go with him, I think Villa have done better out of the deal tbh.
Edmund Posted 17 August 2010 Author Posted 17 August 2010 Or maybe it's because Real Madrid are skint. Or maybe it's because Ozil is out of contract next summer? Either way you look at it, it's a bargain, contract ending or not. Ozil is twice the player of Milner and costing half the amount. Real have done some good business there. Brilliant deal for Villa, Really rate Steven Ireland, and they've got money (Alot of money) to go with him, I think Villa have done better out of the deal tbh. Mancini's an idiot. Ireland is a top player.
MC Prussian Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Milner to Manchester City on a five-year deal in a swap that sees Stephen Ireland joining Aston Villa. Now official: http://news.bbc.co.u...ity/8918222.stm Also: O'Dea from Celtic going to Ipswich on a 6-month loan
Edmund Posted 18 August 2010 Author Posted 18 August 2010 Jon Walters to Stoke for almost £3m. WTF?! My thoughts exactly. He's a tidy player at this level but he's no Ricardo Fuller
dandannieldanok Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Man City may have overpaid for Milner, but I'd prefer him in my squad than Stephen Ireland. It's not as if overpaying is a problem for Man City.
Tilley Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 So, Genoa buy Kevin-Prince Boateng for £5 million, then loan him straight to AC Milan with an option to make the move permanent. Something dodgy going on there...
Jimothy Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 So, Genoa buy Kevin-Prince Boateng for £5 million, then loan him straight to AC Milan with an option to make the move permanent. Something dodgy going on there... Something to do with Milan having too many players in the final year of their contract and needing to balance the books. Or in other words they're talking out of their arses to cover up a dodgy deal.
C-man Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Gallas to Spurs on a one year deal apparently. Not a bad move for either party.
Petchy Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Can't believe that actually went ahead.. I was worried when we were linked with him last year but for them to sign him at 37, Shows they're desperate!
MC Prussian Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Oooer... I always wanted to see Edgar FOOKIN Davids play at least once at the Walkers during my lifetime.
Asha Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Oooer... I always wanted to see Edgar FOOKIN Davids play at least once at the Walkers during my lifetime. I wouldn't bank on it. I bet he leaves the club within 3 months.
Hitesh Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 I wouldn't bank on it. I bet he leaves the club within 3 months. And even then he won't play much of many games. A very strange signing all round really!
lildave3 Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 And even then he won't play much of many games. A very strange signing all round really! If he doesn't play, then they don't pay. Simple. Plus it gets them a bit of publicity.
ScouseFox Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Completely missed this one, James Beattie to Rangers.
MC Prussian Posted 24 August 2010 Posted 24 August 2010 Diamanti leaving West Ham for Brescia Calcio The Hammers lost about 4 million pounds in this deal - seeing that he cost them £6m when they bought him from Livorno.
maddog Posted 24 August 2010 Posted 24 August 2010 Diamanti leaving West Ham for Brescia Calcio The Hammers lost about 4 million pounds in this deal - seeing that he cost them £6m when they bought him from Livorno. Thought he had a lot of class for them last season. Scored goals, some good goals. He was one of their most dangerous players. So why have they sold him at that loss, very strange.
