Babylon Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 ANOTHER full page article today in the Sunday Mirror about the clown in Orange (Holloway). This time they make out the only reason we were relegated under him was because MM never backed him in the transfer market and he wasn't allowed to sign anyone. They obviously forgot Howard, Oakley, Hayles, Bori, Laczkó.... have I missed anyone out?

Alnwick in on loan Gradel signed a new improved 3 year contract McAuley signed a new contract Lee Hendrie & Jamie Clapham in on loans Kelvin Etuhu in on loan Harry Worley in on loan but with a 3 year contract on offer in the summer David Bell in on loan I'd say he was rather busy in the transfer/loan market
purpleronnie Posted 1 June 2010 Posted 1 June 2010 Holloway = clown. If thats true I wish we had a clown managing us. No-one could have saved us that season and anyone could have got us out that mickey mouse league, no doubt Pearson has done an amazing job but to call holloway a clown after what he's achieved smacks of jealousy.
Corky Posted 1 June 2010 Posted 1 June 2010 Holloway = clown. If thats true I wish we had a clown managing us. No-one could have saved us that season and anyone could have got us out that mickey mouse league, no doubt Pearson has done an amazing job but to call holloway a clown after what he's achieved smacks of jealousy. When Holloway took over we were 17th in the table, not a good position at all but hardly a lost cause. And I don't think anyone could've got us promoted from League 1, Pearson had good resources available but put together the right team, which Holloway didn't do. Holloway has done an amazing job at Blackpool, taking nothing away from him there, but he failed with us, like other managers did, and that's why people aren't fans of his.
BoneDog Posted 1 June 2010 Posted 1 June 2010 I don't blame Holloway for taking us down. I blame the ref at Sheff Utd for sending Kisnorbo off in the 10th minute I think it was. It was never a sending off and we would of won that match! At the same match I also blame myself because I rolled the ball back down the touchline to one of their players to take the throw that led to their first goal (might have been their second, but I think it was the first). I should of held on to it for a bit.

But he proved he's no clown.
Babylon Posted 1 June 2010 Author Posted 1 June 2010 But he proved he's no clown. Yes he is. “Right now, everything is going wrong for me - if I fell in a barrel of boobs, I'd come out sucking my thumb!” “To put it in gentleman's terms, if you've been out for a night and you're looking for a young lady and you pull one, you've done what you set out to do. We didn't look our best today but we've pulled. Some weeks the lady is good looking and some weeks they're not. Our performance today would have been not the best looking bird but at least we got her in the taxi. She may not have been the best looking lady we ended up taking home but it was still very pleasant and very nice, so thanks very much and let's have coffee.” . I could carry on with his stupid quotes, but there is little point. The bloke is a clown, I don't care if he wins the champions league with Blackpool, I'll still think he's a fooking idiot.
Babylon Posted 1 June 2010 Author Posted 1 June 2010 Who cares what the Mirror thinks? Who cares what you think? Who cares what anyone thinks? Why have newspapers or tv news or internet forums at all?
Webbo Posted 1 June 2010 Posted 1 June 2010 Who cares what you think? I do. And if you had any sense you would too.
poopbutt Posted 2 June 2010 Posted 2 June 2010 he said that when he took a year out and commentated. when watching matches from a different viewpoint he realised he played shit football and switched his style up.
