Tilley Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 The second half was rather disappointing, if it hadn't been for Rommedahl's goal I'd have gone to sleep.. I swear you are an unfunny version of Samilktray. That was one of the best games of the World Cup so far and you say that, you're a nob sometimes.

African teams are having serious troubles coping with the European teams - lack of fighting skill or is the difference in level too big? Shame to see Cameroon losing and having to pack their stuff and go home this early - nothing to play for in the last match against the Netherlands. It's the mentality. African teams lack this mental strength that Europeans have. Individually they are very good players, but collectively they don't have that mental toughness that can carry them through when the backs are against the wall. Also, changing coach every 6 months or so doesn't help things either.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 best game yet, shame that the first team out is one that was willing to get forward and attack.
Jonezy Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 Some solid defending from Denmark there...... Man, that was intense, but we are alive in the World Cup again, and whats up with Rommedahl, he is on fire. Phew, bring on the dudes, who brought us Nintendo!!

There's not one Dane that I know who have something good to say about him.

FoxyPV Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 Very good match - some seriously comical attempts at defending
Jimothy Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Happy with this result. After the shower of shite from last night I was so down. But I'm a quarter Danish so this makes up for last night so ever so slightly.
shen Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Some solid defending from Denmark there...... Man, that was intense, but we are alive in the World Cup again, and whats up with Rommedahl, he is on fire. Phew, bring on the dudes, who brought us Nintendo!! That was REALLY intense. Typical commentators curse (if you watched it on TV2) that we messed up right there and then, and it just had to be our best player making the mistake (what a dreadful game he had C. Poulsen). After our second goal it was clear that we had to endure over half an hour of being under the cosh. Absolutely thrilled about Rommedahl's performance. It was only him and Bendtner that ever looked likely to make anything happen, so it didn't come as a surprise that they combined for both goals (lovely pass from Kjær for the first though). Nail-biting stuff and it was probably a very entertaining game for the neutral. I trust him to turn shit again next week. He has been criticised heavily by the public and the media. There's not one Dane that I know who have something good to say about him. He has his critics yes, but truth is we have no better option on the right. He is a damp squib most of the time mainly because he's technically poor, but occasionally, often in big games, he does provide the outlet we badly need there and he has scored some very important goals for us in the past. He's a hard worker too and people often oversee his defensive work. I like Rommedahl, always have, despite him being frustrating a lot of the time
