Daggers Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I was expecting some shit signings like Neilsen, a few crap rumours about us signing someone who used to be good eight years ago and the loaning of seven people only avid FM10 players had heard of. I wasn't expecting my season to feel like it's folded before the fvcking World Cup had finished. So, on a scale of one to 'running across the pitch in a crap camp manner to lob a used season ticket booklet at the main stand' - exactly how mad are you now? I am so angry that I feel like punching someone while they are asleep in bed.
davieG Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 More resigned to the fact that this is Leicester City and adds to my 'never get excited until it's happened attitude' even though it's turned me into a miserable pessimist when it comes to football and after all the years of relative failure at the final hurdle on so many occasions who could blame me even more so with Mandaric in charge who I've never trusted from day 1. I have extreme doubts about my sanity as I continue to purchase ST after ST in the forlorn hope that someone will run LCFC with integrity, openness, fairness yet professionally - yes I'm delusional. I had high hopes for Pearson on that front but with Mandaric forever in the murky financial shadows looking over his shoulder my optimism was misplaced - back to being a miserable pessimist. Welcome John Gregory or some other perennial failure looking for a final payday.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I'm seething. The thought of losing Pearson to a Premiership club with a huge fanbase, reputation and rolling in money would have been disappointing but understandable. No way would we have been able to compete with that. But Hull? A club with little money, playing in an out-of-town stadium owned by the council, less history, attendances likely to hover around the 15,000 mark in the same division as us and likely to sell players left, right and centre just to survive? It's absolutely criminal that such a thing could be allowed to happen. Now don't get me wrong, we aren't Real Madrid ourselves. We aren't exactly rolling in cash and have some shortcomings with some ageing squad members and holes left by loanees returning to their parent clubs, but anyone can see that this squad has potential. All it needed was for Mandaric to give Pearson what he wanted, which was clearly a decent wage for a more than decent job. It was clear that Pearson had built an excellent ethos and team spirit. Now that potentially lies in tatters because Mandaric wanted him to do a high end Championship job on League One money. Disgraceful and I hope Mandaric fvcks off and sells the club to someone who doesn't need a chisel to open his wallet.
Zingari Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Optimistic . One door closes another one opens We would never have got MON if Little and McGee had been not been lured to "greener fields" His judgement must now surely be seen as questionable
davieG Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I suspect with the upcoming court case, Mandaric's limited cash relative to LCFC's needs and the clubs ongoing debts that if we don't find a buyer/investor fairly quickly we could be in serious trouble and even administration is not inconceivable.
C-man Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Don't want the season to start. August 7th can fvck off as far as possible. So worried about the squad and backroom staff being dismantled and therefore even considering getting rid of my season ticket. This isn't what I signed up for. I expected MM to fight tooth and nail to keep NP from any club but he seems to have given in. Stubborn cvnt. I'll always remember what NP did for the club and the memories that he and his team created for us, but I can't help that this has consigned us to five more years of misery and instability. Might go stick a tenner on us to be relegated. Wow I'm depressed, good start to the weekend.

Daggers Posted 26 June 2010 Author Posted 26 June 2010 sadly, i had more faith in martin george's abilities Once upon a time he employed me, I never trusted him after that (ref Groucho Marx).
stez Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Once upon a time he employed me, I never trusted him after that (ref Groucho Marx). why, i oughta....!
davieG Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I would never belong to a club that would have me as a member. You can pick your manager, you can pick your nose but you can't pick your manager's nose.
FoxyPV Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I'm not angry yet, I'm sticking with denial up until and possibly after the event is announced.
Mee Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I'm not sure how to feel. Just feels like a kick in the teeth. And I also don't understand why it all has came out so quick, he seemed so into Leicester.
muzzyisalegend Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I'm spitting, but not at Pearson, he obviously has good reason to be taking what is only a sideways step. I feel there can be only one person to blame, and that has to be Mandaric. His failure to give the manager what he wants in terms of a fair contract has had me worried for quite some time, and now we're going to lose him to a club who are pretty insignificant on the football map. He has obviously had all the wrong vibes from MM and is fed up waiting for a new deal, plus he's probably heard something that we haven't with respect to our own financial state!
Zingari Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I'm not angry yet, I'm sticking with denial up until and possibly after the event is announced. That's the spirit deny everything Baldrick If he doesn't take Kermogant with him after all the praise he's given him , we will know he's a fookin liar too
Houdini Logic Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I went out last night, got smashed, some chav threw a bottle of vodka at me, woke up with an dodgy knee, feel like death and then remembered about this fooking saga. So yeah, have been better
Zingari Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 it's not quite sunk in yet , but when it does i think i'll be incandescent with rage
Corky Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Disappointed, and concerned for the future. Who will we get in as the replacement? What players will leave? I honestly thought he'd be here a few years yet, so this has come as a massive shock.
CKB Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I feel like everything that has been achieved over the past two seasons is now more or less destroyed.. When NP is unveiled on Monday/Tuesday i will then start to think well who will now leave players wise and then it's a case of who do we get in, what is Milan gonna offer this manager? if he couldn't offer NP anything well he's not gonna offer an incoming manager much so that basically results in us getting someone like Dowie, Hart, etc or someone dying for a job ie Gregory and us Leicester fans thinking "what is the bloody point" One step forwards two steps back as they say!
