How angry are you?

Too right. The quicker we can sell this club to someone who'll treat it with love and respect, the better. He's treated Leicester like a toy since day one, turning us into a laughing stock more than once, now he's sitting back and letting it happen again.

Im not who sure who to blame.my concern is. should we worry more about preparing a team of settled players for a new campaign!building training etc. This could ruin our season before it starts.im not a huge mm fan,but if i had his money and paid 5mill of my money to help us,and got slated,i would take my ball home !!

I don't think I can feel angry until we know the reasons behind his departure. If there is a valid reason for him to desert the sinking ship, if that's what we indeed are, then just because I support Leicester I'd have to see things from his persepctive and say fair enough I can understand him wanting to get out. If we aren't a sinking ship, for example there are no financil / legal worries then yes I'd be angry. If he's leaving purely because Hull are offering him more money then I'd be angry with both NP & MM.

I can't explain how pissed off I am at how this "deal" has been pulled off...

He's left for a team which has no-where-near enough potential as Leicester, despite what the "AA Guidebook to Hull City FC" says.

I mean, we've got a bit of financial backing, POSSIBLE other investors, so the money is there...

We have a bunch of players that know each other by now, after achieving a feat which was written-off at the beginning of the season by "experts"

We have the backing of atleast 28,000 fans EVERY week, with a very strong away fan backing, so we have no shortage in fans or support.

All we need to reach the "promised land" is a decent manager, who isn't scared to speak out, but also say "Yes Milan, No Milan, 3 bags full Milan."

Which was Nigel Pearson. A rare manager.

Now the mission is trying to find another manager to pull off what we were so close to doing last season.

I seriously hope Milan uses his greed and asks a ridiculous amount for compensation so this all falls through...

Don't quite know which stadium you were at last season but it wasn't The Walkers.

Sorry, but isn't this a forum where people are allowed to voice their opinions? And grow up? Have you read what you've written? Very mature, that.

While thankful for what he's done, I've been inclined towards the word 'Judas' over the past few days. Should he leave I hope he fails miserably and never works again.

I'm gutted, I think to soften the blow his first move as Hull boss should be a straight swap - Bullard for DJ. He owes us that much for the way we have supported the team, haha.

I'd be happy with that as long as you were gonna pay all of Bullard's wages

Im not that angry if im honest. I will reserve my judgement on Nige until the real reason(s) why he left the club are truly discovered. The financial side of the club is in complete ruin from what i've heard, but when the going gets tough it's not time to jump ship.

I should imagine we will be the subject of fierce takeover talks in the coming weeks, or the future will be looking very bleak indeed.

The one fact about this whole shambles, is that the fans will never know what the reasons are for Nige leaving. Sure, a few might have a good idea after being intuitive or hearing whatever rumours will fly out, But Nigel and his staff, and Milan and our clubs top brass will ever really ever know what totally went on.

People are saying that they're going to boo Pearson, how do you know it's down to him wanting to leave? Don't get me wrong - It may well be, but unless him or Mandaric come out and say it, why on earth would you want to boo someone who brought us back up from league One at the first time of asking and nearly got us promoted in his second season when many of us didn't expect to do as well as we did? Every person rightfully has their own opinion, but unless you know the full story, why don't we all just focus on supporting the team for the upcoming season?

We're mostly all gutted that Pearson's going to be leaving, but that's football and it happens, players and managers come and go, that's how today's game is. After the two years Pearson's had here, it was inevitable that sooner rather than later, he was going to be leaving, just sickening to where he's going to be leaving to. Further away from the point, Steve Walsh is going to be a massive loss to the club.

Personally, I don't think it's down to Pearson but that's just my opinion.

yes im gutted hes leaving...but im more gutted that hes leaving us for hull........now come on MM how come you could not offer him better than poxy little hull could !!

The timing of this is dreadful. With Pre season days away and no coaching staff we're in the shit. I'm guessing Rudkin, Stowell and Beaglehole will be left to pick up the pieces.

A new manager wont have much time to get any new signings in unless he hires a scouting network who've been working proactively all summer.

Players will need to gel to the manager and his way of playing.

Anyway I'm so angry I might stick a rusty pole up my arse for pleasure.

give em the job, i say - minimum disruption and a culture of wining.

i agree with your other points, too - that's why i'm annoyed rather than angry, the timing is just woeful.

what i am angry about, is that this news seems to have come from Hull sources, rather than City - once again, the standard of communication between leicester city and the fans is utterly disgraceful.

The thought of losing Pearson to a Premiership club with a huge fanbase, reputation and rolling in money would have been disappointing but understandable. No way would we have been able to compete with that. But Hull? A club with little money, playing in an out-of-town stadium owned by the council, less history, attendances likely to hover around the 15,000 mark in the same division as us and likely to sell players left, right and centre just to survive?

Let me correct you or a few things. I'm not going to debate the rights and wrongs of the deal, but your impressions of Hull City are somewhat wide of the mark.

Little money? Depends on how you view it. The debts are being restructured, we know how big they are; not that dissimilar to yours. The HMRC are working with the club to get their payments, the wage bill has shrunk due to relegation clauses in contracts, plus the parachute payment is in place. Little money? I thinks its fair to say the two clubs are on similar terms.

Out of town stadium? You really don't know, do you? The KC Stadium is actually closer to the city centre than Boothferry Park was!

KC Stadium

Yes the council own it, it was provided with their money from the sale of the council-owned telecom company that is still the only independent network in Britain. Actually it give security to the club cos then it means that the club owners can't use it in dodgy deals, or as security for loans, thus forcing the club to work within its means.

Less history? Ok we haven't won anything, we have only had two years in the top flight and at the moment, not at all certain to go back. But the club has still had high points, just not in living memory. That's not an issue, though, what is the issue is NOW, history doesn't provide money in the pockets or success on the field. Both clubs have potential, run by men who want the best for the club.

Attendances likely to hover at 15k? Hmm, well as about that number of season tickets have been sold, then I hardly think thats a point worth considering. The appointment of Pearson and his reputation will add another few on that, so averaging 18-20k is clearly within possibility, similar to yourselves in fact.

Likely to sell players left and right? Why? Not at the moment, 3 players have left; Marney to Burnley, Mouyokolo has gone to Wolves, as has Hunt, and Bullard is likely to go on loan. All this will reduce the wage bills and if one more leaves, the club's debts will be back to being manageable, thanks to an adequate revenue stream.

So then, any more misconceptions you want dispelling, or will that be enough for the day? I'm not saying everything is rosy in our world, but its not as black as some would like to believe.

Brilliant....bait taken.

Top marks to Bert's post, sums it up quite well.

Just feel Pearson is letting down the players a little bit and escaping the Campbell/Brown/Yann situations.

I'm over the disapointment of losing NP. Now i'm just excited at who's gonna come in and what will they bring to the table.

In 6 months time we can say whether or not his is the disaster everyone is making it out to be (and lets remember, when NP was appointed it wasn't exactly considered a popular appointment).

Until then, lets just support the team and whoever the new man turns out to be.

Apart from if it's Dowie.

I hate that twat.

I'm not actually angry at all, i just want us to find a good replacement as soon as possible so we can settled. That's my main concern.

So angry I did this on Paint.

hullllllllll.png

There's no comeback as good as a penis on a club's logo with some slightly re-arranged lettering.

*Note the shading on the right bollock.

:crylaugh:

I'm a bit behind on this whole saga but this has helped lift me out of my football-induced depression (at least temporarily). Nice work

As for being angry, I'm pretty angry but I'm not sure who at yet. I can't really be arsed to speculate as to why Pearson left anymore or who's fault it is. I've been through just about every possible scenario in my head over the last few days & I'm still none the wiser.

The fact remains that he's gone. It's shit but, well...shit happens! At the end of the day, me nor anybody else on here is going to have any say about who is appointed to replace him. I just hope to god that whoever it is does a good job!

The big thing for me is that I was really looking forward to the new season & now I'm feeling a bit 'we've ben here before' kind of pessimistic.

I'm fed up of feeling helpless as a fan so I'm just going to concentrate on what I can do next year by getting behind the team whoever's in charge. Can't wait for the Fosse Boys to get properly up & running! I think Mandaric, Pearson et al need reminding how insignificant they really are in comparison to the fans & the club as a whole!
